The wiki at the top of this thread listed a $25 AS gift card as one of the unsuccessful data points. I think the only gift card that as been shown to work, at least through 2019, has been for AA of $100 or less. We're still waiting on a data point from 2020 though.

Any one got credit for pet fee on AS?
I got the card about a month ago in December and missed using last year's credit as didn't know it was given every calendar year, which I just found out. Kicking myself for not checking this thread earlier. Nothing to do with the question, just venting ☺️.

Hopefully this won't be the case. I compared the details that appear on the 2020 charge to the 2019 charge, and the only difference is under 'Reference Number'. The 2020 charge has a different 4-digit reference number. Otherwise the charge seems to have posted in an identical format. Don't they officially say we need to wait 7 business days from the charge posting before receiving the credit (even if it is usually quicker)? Maybe with the holidays it will take the full window?

similar to above DPs, I bought $100 AA gift card on 12/17 for $90 and got my residual $82 credit. Purchased $100 AA gift card on 1/1 (posted 1/3) and still hasn't triggered credit yet, and my statement closed yesterday on 1/9. I similarly compared the details and it looks the same except for the 4 digit reference code. Hoping it's just slow from the influx of people trying to use it right at the turn of the new year and not a negative change...

On my rewards page, the credit tracker shows "Each year you may receive up to $100 in Airline Incidental Statement Credits to cover the cost of qualifying purchases. Allow 7 days from qualifying, for the statement credit to post to your account. See Program Rules for details." It is currently still showing that I have $100 available...but then it also says "Credit approved on 12/24/2019" even though my original 2019 AA gift card credited on 12/21 after purchase on 12/17. So I don't know. I am wondering if there is any issue with the fact that both AA gift cards were technically on the same statement even though one purchase is from 2019 and one is from 2020. Anyway, will plan to report back if the credit does ever post.

12/12 approved
12/17 first statement closed
12/25 $100 AA GC purchased
12/27 GC purchase posted
1/2 $100 credit posted ("transaction date" 12/29)
1/17 next statement closing
I haven't read most of the last 18 pages. On another site someone says the credit arrives when the statement cuts.
Maybe some people get their credits when statements cut, and end-of-year stragglers and new customers like myself get reimbursed through a separate batch?
