Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.
The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

As the one positive DP we've seen in recent weeks, is this a primary or AU card -- and is this the first gift card you've done in 2019 (to see if it jibes with the $350 cap across all cards being discussed by some but obviously not confirmed by CNB yet)?

Hi MoonOverMiami. Let me add some clarification. The transaction was made on 10/17 and the credit from CNB posted on 10/23.
This is the primary user card and I have not used any of the cards for any other gift cards.
I will post if I have any other info regarding getting over the $350 threshold.

A good thing to mention/complain if one gets a survey is how the points were devalued without any notice.
Most card issuers who are doing things like that will give some reasonable notice.
I realize - for better and worse - CNB lives on its own strange planet and doesn't do anything like peer banks.

Umm, in reviewing the most recent posts, several cardholders used AU cards (NOT primary) to purchase $250 AA e-gift certs and I have yet to see a confirmed reimbursement in October.
That being said I think it is foolish to order 4 cards and then do 4 x $250 EGC purchases on the same day. Spread them out. Also foolish to risk losing the signup bonus by not netting your credits against the required spend.
