US Bank Reconsideration Line: 800-947-1444
Use this phone number to check your application status as well. US Bank does not send you an approval/denial email. Many data points show 8-10 business days for decision is normal. Add another 2-3 weeks after that to receive physical card.

U.S. Bank Fraud Department - 800-260-8469. This is the number to call if your card starts getting declined when you try to make a purchase.

Why is the balance due on my business card always shown as $0?
There are TWO account numbers linked to your business card: The card itself, which shows up in the same website account as any personal cards you may have. This will always show a $0 balance due.

There is a SECOND account - labeled the "Central Bill Account" - with its own account number. You must set up a separate website account with its own username and password to access the Central Bill Account. This is the account that will actually show the balance due and let you schedule a payment. Somewhere in the paperwork you received with the card or the first paper invoice, you should be able to find the Central Bill Account's number.

Setting up separate website account for business card:

These are the instructions that US Bank emailed me:

To enroll in Online Banking for your U.S. Bank Business account, start by going to usbank.com. You do not need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in order to enroll.

Please follow these instructions to enroll in Online Banking to view or pay your account:

1. Click on the Enroll Now link on the right side of the screen.
2. Select the Business Accounts option.
3. View the Terms and Conditions and then select Enroll Now.
4. Select I do not have a U.S. Bank small business checking or savings account.
5. Select I am an authorized officer of a U.S. Bank Business Credit Card.
6. Complete Step 2 of 2.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be able to view your business account in its entirety. When you are making a payment you will need to select the Accounts Payable account number.

Until the end of May 2015: "Bonus Award Night - Redeem Gold Points for two or more consecutive Award Nights and the last night is free. Exclusively for cardmembers.

From June 1 2015: free night after $10,000 spend in a year plus payment of annual fee. Note: can only be used in the U.S.

"New Account Bonus is not available to applicants who have had this Card or another Club Carlson credit card product within the last 12 months."

Forex fee is 3%

We did not go to Jo'burg - we spent a night at the IC conveniently located across the arrival hall and then flew to Port Elizabeth the next morning. On way back from Cape Town we only transit at Jo'burg.

We had a pay night at Port Elizabeth after spending 3 days in 2 national parks doing self-drive safari. No recognition of status, no upgrade of course.

Is Jo'burg worth a visit?

We were upgraded to business room in Amsterdam but were specifically told that no breakfast included. In fact inside the room there was a notice framed in acrylic specifically said upgraded to business room does not include breakfast.

Small room upgrades in other CC properties but never received free breakfast unless it was offered to all guests (Riga and Tallinn properties offer very good breakfasts to all guests. The buffet breakfasts in the Baltic properties were among the best hotel buffet breakfasts we had seen, including many European Hilton properties where as HHonors Golds we received the benefits.)

I highly recommend everyone file a CFPB claim about this if this change has happened before your annual year is up. It is very deceptive to promise and heavily advertise a benefit, collect an annual fee for it, then change it before the year is up.

BTW, got 7500 points but no refund of annual fee when calling to complain.

How do you file a CFPB complaint?

I just called and no go for me. Spoke to a supervisor and a regular rep. They wouldn't do anything. Not even a measly 2,500 points.

I just tried making a dummy booking in 2017 and it let me and it gave me the last night free benefit. As long as I keep my card, will they still honor that rate? i.e. if I can book it on their website, then I'm good?

I read somewhere that the booking schedule was only through 2016, but they have it open till 2018 from what I saw.

It depends on properties. Even in the same city, not all properties can be booked pass 12 months.

you got a measly 7500 points only but no fee credit so you can take 5 mins of your time and file CFPB complaint, 3 days letter someone should call you, apologize to you and give you the $75 refund.

Got a voicemail from US Bank's executive office in regards to my CFPB claim. I was at work but will call them back and report what she has to say. CFPB will only investigate if they receive a lot of complaints, so I urge people to file complaints alleging the deceptive nature of canceling such a key benefit on short notice.

Just paid for annual fee a few months back.

With the latest change, this card is no longer a keeper for me. I will cancel after my year is up.

Club Carlson just isn't not working for me as well. With the exception of a stay in Scotland, I haven't found a lot of Club Carlson properties that work with my travel locations (compared to other hotel brands). I was already on the fence with Club Carlson but the benefits were compelling enough to warrant renewing for the last few years, but this change seals the deal for me in canceling come renewal time.

After you called back, was it $75 fee credit and 50K bonus points or just $75k fee credit?

No annual fee credit even from executive office. She said she would give me 7,500 points though. I don't think she knew a supervisor already gave me 7,500 points, so I may get 15,000 out of this. I know the CFPB won't do anything unless they receive a certain number of complaints, which is why I am encouraging people to file complaints. Sort of like the DOT/United Denmark premium fare debacle…if you want the government to issue a response, a lot of people need to complain.

I was just approved for this card three weeks ago and already received card and completed spend requirements. First statement has not closed yet so AF has not hit. Should I try and call and get the $75 AF waived before it hits and maybe some bonus points or should I just expect 2,500 points regardless with the AF still intact?
