Why is the balance due on my business card always shown as $0?
There are TWO account numbers linked to your business card: The card itself, which shows up in the same website account as any personal cards you may have. This will always show a $0 balance due.
There is a SECOND account - labeled the "Central Bill Account" - with its own account number. You must set up a separate website account with its own username and password to access the Central Bill Account. This is the account that will actually show the balance due and let you schedule a payment. Somewhere in the paperwork you received with the card or the first paper invoice, you should be able to find the Central Bill Account's number.
Setting up separate website account for business card:
These are the instructions that US Bank emailed me:
To enroll in Online Banking for your U.S. Bank Business account, start by going to usbank.com. You do not need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in order to enroll.

1. Click on the Enroll Now link on the right side of the screen.
2. Select the Business Accounts option.

4. Select I do not have a U.S. Bank small business checking or savings account.
5. Select I am an authorized officer of a U.S. Bank Business Credit Card.
6. Complete Step 2 of 2.
Once you have successfully logged in, you will be able to view your business account in its entirety. When you are making a payment you will need to select the Accounts Payable account number.

Has this harmed the value of the card? Abso-freakin-lutely. Is the limitation of the free night to the US lame? That's affirmative, red rider.. Is the Club Carlson card worth less today than it was before? You betcha. Is it worthless? Not even close.
Look at it this way -- if you spend $12k on this card, you could get 3 free nights in Manhattan. You'd get one free night for the $10k spend, one free night with the 50,000 points you'd get from the first $10k of that spend, and one free night from the 40,000 points you get each year as an anniversary bonus plus the 10,000 points from the extra $2k in spend. Are the rooms as nice as they would be through another chain? Of course not. But you're not going to get 3 nights in Manhattan for $12k spend on the SPG, Hyatt, Hilton, or IHG cards. If you get/have the business version of the Club Carlson, the annual fee is only $60. While I'm incredibly bummed at this massive disappointment in cutting the value of the program, I'm still a realist -- and you can't really beat 3 nights in midtown Manhattan for $12k in spend + a $60 AF.
Speaking of which, I commented on the previous page, but has anyone applied for any of the cards this weekend? I've only gotten a technical problems error message. I've tried apping the business version a few times to no avail -- I just get a technical error when submitting the application. I'm hoping to make this card happen in time to use the bonus on a couple more nights ahead of the May 28th cutoff.

Glad that works for you. Our travels hardly involve NYC but we did have an overnight there a few years ago en-route to Europe. We stayed at an IC near the Time Square - initially booked on points at nearby Staybridge but later were able to do a BRG on a King room with breakfast at IC (some $600ish room lol) to replace the pt booking. Our travels are almost exclusively international trips. CC properties are only semi-useful in Europe and very very little presence in Asia except in India. Though in Feb we were able to use them at Cape Town. Too bad that in Mar I canceled CC bookings at Istanbul and stayed at Hilton properties instead. 100K CC pts should have been gone but now still in the account!
Now may be we can find use of such should we ever visit NYC again. Thanks for pointing this out.
I am afraid even if you can get the card in next few days, you may not get the points in time to make the cut off deadline. IIRC the bonus did not post until the 2nd statement after the spend was met and AF billed/paid. The card does not work the same way like Chase or Citi when it comes to post bonus.

So this is the primary reason you get this card, for stay in NYC? interesting.

My primary travel is international as well, but I live just the right distance from NYC as to make it a pain as a day trip but hard to justify the cost of a room to do a night or two. Three days there as a little getaway during low season when it's easy to score lottery tickets to a broadway show or two will be worth having this card for me.
As for the bonus, I got the personal card a few months ago and the bonus posted on the first statement -- the AF was charged immediately. So I'm *hopeful* that the bonus would post on time if I were to get the business card this week -- but it's obviously not a guarantee. Unfortunately, I continue to get the technical error in any browser. Guess I'll try to call tomorrow. At the very least, I'd rather keep the business long term and save myself $15 in AF if I'm only going to keep one.
As for international, CC clearly doesn't have wild coverage -- but I've got a few nights booked in Paris later this year and I'm about to book a couple nights in Cape Town. I certainly won't continue to make this card a heavy spender, but I think it's totally worth putting $12k per year on it still, that's all. Believe me, I'm bummed -- this was the card I was most excited to get when I discovered it due to the bonus nights. But I'm not going to throw it away.

Abso-freakin-lutely. I had trouble opening a checking account with them without those frozen. A few months later, app'd the personal version of the CC and got approved for my highest limit card with no issues. I would definitely freeze those if you can.....unless you don't apply often and/or don't have any variations out there in phone number, name, etc. Read around online -- everyone will tell you to freeze those for a US Bank app.

Cape Town's property is in a very good location. No elite recognition whatsoever but that is the norm of CC properties. Room is on the small side but with clean line decor it is bright and pleasant. We were given a room on the 1st floor with 2 sides of window - one side facing the parking outside but the other side facing the small marina adjacent to the hotel. So that was nicer than having rooms straightly facing the parking / street.

When was your AF billed? Did you get the renewal bonus pts already or still waiting for them?

I called twice to get either AF refunded or a points bonus for compensation, and both times hit a brick wall. But some people seem to be having good success in getting either AF, points, or both. I've had this card for only 6 months or so and stopped using it the moment I hit spend requirement. I'm sure many people did the same. Anybody in the same boat as me able to get some sort of compensation?

I was able to find availability in nice European properties as far out as October 2016. Not all of them were available that far out, but at least some were, like The Mayfair in London.
