Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.
Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

hmm, now i joined the club of early-milers... Just had miles posted on 22 (marked as 21). The amount does not match any combinations prior to that date, and its less then half of what I should have received this month.
The other half actually all posted to ST on 21...
it would really suck if they cut it off early.

I noticed that if you make a purchase in the morning (my guess before 2PM), then transaction posting date is the same as purchase date. If you do a purchase in the evening, then it will post with tomorrow's date. So, if someone wants to gamble, you can make a few purchases this morning with hope that it will post the same day. However, tomorrow is a weekend, there is a probability that it might post on Monday.

Option 1: Two Suntrust Signature Adv accounts between husband and wife, each with $25K balance , total miles per year: 96K (4000x2x12) Delta miles, cost: 0.7x8( 8 1K MO per month)x12+ 2X75(AF)=$217
Option 2: Open a Bankdirect AA mileage check account with $50K balance, earning 5000 AA miles per month with $12 monthly fee. No MO involved. Total miles per year: 5000x12=60K AA miles, cost:$12x12=$144
Which option is better?

you forgot to include in your calculation loss of 1% interest or $500, or lets say after taxes $400. Plus 8K for spend, and time/effort to go buy the MO.
Personally I will stick to 2k miles a month if they dont shut me down, i can do that easily without getting out of chair.
and the fact that MO are explicitly prohibited by new T&C, so its unclear if that will continue to work

Good point! but 60K AA miles worth more than $400, not sure about 96K delta miles.

For me these 96k per year is just too much work for two people (chances are they will want to see ID to match the card when buying MO?), with too many resources tied up: almost 60K a month untouchable.

Gary wrote today (http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea....-giving-me-72/) that he got a $72 credit for loosing benefits of the card. I wonder if I should do the same - my renewal ($75) was in June (a month ago). A max I can earn is 24K miles. I can open a DL credit card and get the same bonus.

Haven't had a chance today to get to WM for MOs. Oh well. The frenzy is over!

I felt a little sad today as I swiped the trusty debit card for my last couple of MOs to drain my bank account down to near the $3000 min balance. That said, I'll likely keep mine until the fee is due again next May. I bet I can extract >$75 in value out of the 18-20k Skyrubles I'll earn between now and then.
What was the area code? I'd assume Georgia, but I missed calls yesterday and today from Florida and NJ with no voicemail.

I paid the annual fee sometime in April. I feel it would be unfair that I paid the annual fee only to find out that the earning capability of the card had been severed.
Are we sure that the July 25th date is a cut and dry date? If I knew this, I would have paid their ridiculous annual fee on the card!

All debit card transactions that I did yesterday, the 24th, regardless of time of day, are currently showing "07-25" and pending. Prior date transactions, whether they were local or online, seem to always settle on the next business date. Thus, all of my 7/24 transactions will likely be 1/2 points!
For those of us who are considering canceling the card due to 7/25/15 huge loss of benefit, recent posts document that Sun Trust may prorate the annual fee if recently paid.

I did one last billpay today, hoping that maybe they'll keep paying through the end of the month and that they chose July 25th as the "official" last day to give themselves leeway in arguments over pending transactions. I'm crossing my fingers...
