ahh that could very well be true -- the flight i was looking at was always showing Z0 but that was true because i could never apply my upgrade certificate. (finally it opened up like 10 days out; didn't check EF beforehand)

What I've noticed in looking at Copa's Z class in ExpertFlyer is that it seems to always show zero availability, at least on the flights I've been on in the past three months. I've seen this over a week in advance, and even just in the days before a flight.
But, I'm 18/18 so far on upgrades under the ConnectMiles program, so it doesn't seem to be an issue. Sometimes, I've gotten upgrade notice 72 hrs in advance (I've got Platinum status), but other times it's barely over 24 hrs. I haven't figured out yet how Copa manages this inventory.

Changing FF number loophole might be closed. Unable to change it in profile upon boarding the flight. Maybe it was left too late being less than 1 hour before departure on the return leg

Copa Upgrade List
If i recall correctly, isn't there a way to see how your postioned on CM's upgrade list. IIRC its after you check in if you have not cleared before. Just curious as I haven't had to use it in awhile

Thanks you jogged my memory. Went to the home page, clicked on flight status picked a flighta different date from the drop down menu, then changed date and flight number in the url..viola..

Just a side note: Somehow the "Mail Packages" option in my account preferences tab wasn't checked, you may want to confirm if yours is checked.

The desk agent at PHX UC was willing to take the electronic version on my iPhone, but "the computer" would not permit access. Agent said that it did not recognize ConnectMiles as a valid *A program.

EDIT: So today, out of the blue, my wife and my Copa elite cards showed up in the mail (2/17 expiration). So I guess "just waiting" was the right strategy.
If you have an actual physical card, I assume the United Club agents can recognize your Copa status and let you into the lounge?
