I received both my matched status cards to my address in Ireland. First silver and then gold, both automatically. Might have taken 4-8 weeks for both to arrive after status was granted

Regional Certs
I looked at previous pages but couldn't find a definitive answer:
1) I became ConnectMiles Platinum Member and saw certs in my account. I wanted to apply them on a UNITED operated within USA next month. Is there a systematic way to do apply the upgrades, or do I have to call connectmiles phone number and have them apply it?

My understanding is that you need to call for now. An system is in the works to do this online, but not at this time (I think it will rolll out later in the year).. Keep in mind that all fare classes on UA will not qualify (I don't have the link handy! But the ultra low fares will not qualify).. Safe Travels

Does anyone have experience actually confirming an upgrade on a UA flight using an RPU or a GPU? The website suggests this is still not possible:
Connect Regional Upgrades will also be available soon on United-operated flights
The upgrades [GPU] are valid on all Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and, soon, on United-operated flights.

has anyone ever earned on CM with an upgraded UA flight (=R class)? the chart says 0% for R -- do you know if UA reports it as the original class?
thanks, and happy new year, y'all!

Well.. That's an interesting question. While UA uses R space to confirm thr upgrade, they Post the orginal fare basis preceded by a Z. So an upgarde on a , class Ticket posts to UA as ZN. I would assume the transmit the same to CM when crediting there. But, I have no personal knowledge.. Happy New Year and Safe Travels

wondering if i should risk it. i'd earn approximately the same amount of miles (50% CM vs 11xPQD). it wouldn't be a thing if i weren't planning to credit future flights to CM since i'm dropping from 1K to silver...
anyways, thanks for the info!

thanks! i just called and he said i would earn based on original class. (i had to explain myself 3 times [not because he wasn't fluent in english -- i suspect few people ask these sorts of questions so he just wasn't expecting it]) let's cross fingers and hope he's correct!
