Well, my wife and daughter was able to get status matched about 5 weeks ago. And I requested it shortly after, well, i got the email today that they are rolling out some exciting enhancements by the end of February, so no status match for me.

Okay, I received status match for Gold last month and I did use it for a paid Swiss economy (S) ticket to get access to the Swiss lounge at ZRH. The problem was that they almost denied the access due to the lack of physical COPA card.
I called COPA CS to request an expedited COPA card delivery and the agent told me that they practically don't know when the card might be available. It can take make months even. I read in another thread that some flyers had success to access United Club w/ United MP number on the boarding pass, but with flashing the card. This would be useful for me.

As it seems that the Gold elite bonus is ONLY valid for tickets flown only on Copa - I think is absolutely ridiculous! Any thoughts on this? In this case there is incentive for me to include my Copa # on paid tickets on *A.

I had logged into my ConnectMiles Account and (dont remember the exact place) but there was an way to request "Duplicate Card". Yes, once you have a Connect Miles Card you can gain access to the United Club while flying UA and crediting to MP. Safe Travels

There is indeed a place to request a duplicate card on their site, but they have still not shipped any. I'm ConnectMiles PP, but when I lose my UA 1K status at the end of the month I guess I'll have to start using a printed version of the ConnectMiles card from the website to enjoy any *A benefits. The local (MDE) CM employees tell me, too, that they have no idea when physical cards will ultimately be mailed.

I don't think that there are many of us Copa FFers who are surprised by the turbulent start of their own program. Personally, I love flying on CM, but if anything goes wrong... Fortunately, it's very infrequent that anything goes so wrong that I need help beyond the counter or gate.

With regard to the cards, I didn't receive a physical 1K Card from UA for the last 3 years. I have also not received a physical EXP card from AA, and I seem to remember reading that they are no longer producing them. It's all going to the apps, but Copa's app? I have never been able to do anything with it at all.

you have to click on your COPA card image in the ConnectMiles hub and then 'Replace Card' and the pop-up window displays this message:
Replace ConnectMiles Card
Thank you for submitting your request.
Unfortunately, your replacement card limit has exceeded and we cannot send you a new card.

How about the 50% bonus? Is it really only given for COPA flights only?!

Whether 25, 50 or 75% the bonus is only for Copa flights as the website states.

Does someone know if COPA awards allow a transit in another region?

I'm thinking about redeeming miles for an award Japan-Singapore-Auckland-French Polynesia, which should just be 40K miles in First.
However, I would pass through the South Asia and Australia/NZ region. I know AA doesn't allow a transit in another region, except in specific cases. Does CM have rules for this?

Still haven't received the physical card that was matched in October. SQ had some problems with showing CM *G status on the BP, though KF lounge attendants were able to verify the status in their system. On some occasions, check-in staff had to manually write the *G status on BP after verifying. Overall, had no problems with entry without the physical card.

StatusMatcher.com has reports of people being denied matches and challenges because the program is changing (including, apparently, the name). This seems odd, since ConnectMiles is so new.

Maybe they're going to dump all the improvidently granted status matches.

I just got my card in the mail in Berlin. I think I clicked the "replace card" button on the website about 3-4 weeks ago.

Is "I" the correct fare code for upgrade to Business on Copa flights using RPU's?

I see "I" space on EF and UA but agents keep saying nothing is available. And the online upgrade request form keeps saying "success" but nothing really happens.

Z is upgrade class.

I have on a few occasions booked CM flights with UA miles and then changed the frequent flyer programme in the booking to ConnectMiles, hoping that this would make me eligible for complimentary upgrade.

I can now confirm with certainty that this is not the case. While they wil place you in the very first rows in Y, there is no chance of upgrades. I flew POS-PTY last night, and despite 6 empty seats in J, I was not offered a complimentary upgrade.

NOt that I expcted it in the first place, but it is certainly worth the try
