Joy, our flight to CLT is in an ATC hold.

Why can't airlines publish honest times in FLIFO, why must it be 'on-time' until you get to the gate when they know ahead of time.

They don't want to publish an ATC hold delay because that can always change moment by moment or hour by hour. You know what kind of trouble we get in when we post a delay and then have it lifted....all kinds of people complain and then want $$$ for the error.

Still at 9 for 10 after multiple tries at Wii Home Run Derby. My total length of the 9 homers is a shade over 5100 feet. For some reason, I always manage to let one ball toward the end catch me napping, and I foul it off hard to the right side.

BTW something I haven't shared, CO can't take foreign debit cards (at least at FLL) or non US currency, so this left one lady that had $20 on her left over on her way home.

She had a $50 baggage fee, the agent was friendly but stern, and I was in a hurry. I paid this ladies fee in cash.

Why can't CO take a british Visa debit card? In a pinch, why are they not allowed to take other currency?

Not really sure but it could be because we don't want to get involved with exchanging the foreign currency. That's alot of hassle.

Haha. I don't ask for $$$, just my zillion miles. :-:

On my flight from DCA - EWR the other day, we pushed back 2 min. early and I thought to myself "fixin' to go into the penalty box." Sure enough, we taxi to the PB and the engines shut down. Capt. comes on and makes the dreaded announcement that we were fixin' to be there for 60 min.

One min. later I hear the engines spool up and the Capt. comes back on and says ATC is lifted, to please prepare the cabin for take-off and sure enough, off we went.

I DEMAND COMPENSATION

I tied Mackieman in the :-::-::-:0:-::-::-: category. Or perhaps I win because I used more :-:.

Sloppy joes and fries for us.

I am booking a review session with my mentor on Sunday regarding my personal statement. He doesn't yet know that he is coming here for dinner instead of him taking me/us out. ^ It's the least we can do given all he has done for me.

I finally had a break in work to write up the details of my settlement with BA. In the end I have a $600 TCV to use in either or both of our names on any route that can be issued through the BA call center on 125 stock. That includes EC routes, and if it doesn't I have a name and number to call as that is specifically stipulated both in the settlement letter and the email I got with the TCV number. I can't really say that I'm happy with the outcome but I'm also not completely pissed. Much like when I bought my wife's engagement ring I walked away feeling like I didn't get completely screwed over, so it must not be all that bad, right?

I understand, but if they want to collect monies for luggage, isn't something in foreign currency better than sending it free in the end or making a customer so pissed that they never fly again?

I can understand not taking a trillion Zimbabwean dollars, but pounds, euros, yen, yuan, and indian rmb are pretty stable currency these days. and xe.com helps you know amounts :D

My dog seems to have discovered a credit card I had on my nightstand and used it as a chew toy on one corner. The magnetic strip is intact so I think I'll keep it like this.:D It has character.
