Ok, I've ordered the following:

1. Dayquil - For the high pollen and pressure changes we're going through right now.
2. Peanut oil - Used for cooking at our house since my wife is allergic to olives.
3. Beef bouillon cubes - Use for making stew and I am out.
4. Coffee - The wife loves the stuff.
5. Chocolate Chips - I use them to enhance pancakes for my wife.
6. Red Vines - Apparently these are better than twizzlers, so says my better half.
7. Sammich Baggies - You can never have too many Ziploc baggies.
8. Sponges - Gotta clean junk sometimes.
9. Batteries, C & AA - One can always find use for extra batteries.
10. Fresh Flowers - Girls like them. :-:
11. Light Bulbs - Need some 15W CFLs to replace the dead bulbs outside the house.
12. 12 Pack Shiner Frost - I Box, therefore I drink.

They'll get you something. Team Canada and I got a gift certificate to a great restaurant near us.

No, its not. But the flight is jam packed and I'd rather have the little bit of extra lateral room that seat affords me. I'd rather that seat than a regular middle.

I would think that a gentleman of your stature could have done better than that. :td:

Its what UA auto-assigned me. I tried the "no seat assignment" to force me up to E+ routine but no dice. I don't think the CR2's are ExPlus anyway. Based on the published seat-map, this was one of the last seats left.

It's a short flight. I'll survive.

uh oh, I don't see it on online yet, but sounds like tornado warning, sirens going off in town.

Nice list. Is Shiner Frost still on the store shelves? I didn't see them it at Target or Fiesta last night... :(

Then I fly UA where I'm confirmed in row 12 on a CR2. I didn't know they had 12 rows. Of course I'll try the  flirt, but I'm sure it will yield me .

If you have your UA PNR, PM is to me or the flight info and i'll take care of that. :)

I'm a go, repeat a go, for the DO next week. :-:

I've finally decided to buy, I'm in the beginning stages of researching locations, properties and of course realtors. It seems many of you have recent experience with this, so I'd appreciate some pointers on choosing a good realtor. What is it that you all like or dislike about your realtor? Besides a personal recommendation, were there particular reasons that you choose this person?

WWTBD: W Lakeshore or Westin Michigan Ave. Westin is $10 more expensive/night.

I have stayed in both. The W is great if get a high room with a lake view. Perfect view of Navy Pier. Very trendy (like all W's), and we had a great stay here. It is only about 4-5 blocks off of Michigan.

The Westin Michigan Ave is a perfect location for stuff on Michigan Ave... and is very close to Ditka's (and worth a stop there for a Big Mike's Bloody Mary). The rooms at this Westin were nothing special, and the lobby isn't great... but location is prime.

I consider it a toss-up between these two. We are staying at the Westin when we go in a few weeks.

I probably would expect some token - they want to be the first person considered if you ever decided to sell / move-up.

RE 6: Yes, they indeed are.
RE 11: Make sure these are covered and can't have moisture blown into them.
