Thanks - about halfway through the entire trip now. Felt odd to drive past BNA without going to the actual airport or the Hyatt Place ...

Yes, I know how that HP became your 'second' home for a while, there!:D

What stupidity did Apple throw your way? More  worthy than taking computing/mobile phones usage back to the 80's, iPad style?

I got a macbook pro 13 inch and had major issues with my wifi, I ended up having to reset the router to factory specs, then reconfigure everything.

Scan to PDF and go to Fax Zero. 3 pages are for free. I just used this service yesterday, but paid the $1.99 since I had about a dozen pages to send. :-:

Thanks. I'll try it. What I need to send is one page, so this should work for me!

What time should I get up in the morning? 6:45 AM flight. Boarding at 6:10,
Security is likely to be a zoo so I'll guess 45 minutes (5:25AM) Normally takes 45 minutes to get to airport so this means closer to 1:15 (4:10AM) Do the three S's 45 minutes, (3:25AM) Shovel for 30 minutes (2:55) So I'll set the alarm for 2:45 AM I should have just gone with not going.

Why even go to sleep?

Macbooks don't like to play with older wifi routers as I have found out. It's the handling of ipv4 vs. ipv6. I have two netgear routers at home. One is a v5, the newer one a v8. Of course, the Mac did not work correctly with the v5.

Whew. I guess it was tame compared to last year's 6 OT extravaganza. But yes, got a little interesting at the end.

My linksys is pretty new, but somehow it converted it to a AP only and reset the network and security, so only the mac could get online.
I finally reset everything and now the wifi is operational and not open to everyone.

Yes, we are. We actually just had our "winter long weekend" this past one, which was why I ended up venturing to the  of DC; so, we were off Saturday (this is unusual), Sunday, and Monday, had school yesterday, off today. I want tomorrow off SO badly for myriad reasons but am afraid they just can't bring themselves to do that.

It's still snowing here too. Not as "blizzardy" as earlier, but still coming down quite quickly. I think we have about 18". the snow plows have been up and down Rte 27 four or five times in the last 3 hours and the roads are still totally covered. There is very little traffic, and what does go by is going quite slowly.

We just got the official "there WILL be school tomorrow" email. I am very curious to see what percentage of the day students (approx. 1/3 of the total population) actually makes it here...ugh.

I'm ready to go to sleep now but I'm packing. Do I want to drag the laptop around? (I wish I had a netbook or a smart phone right now)

You said the "D" word

I've already received the late start but all offices will be open as usual e-mail (well not my office)

After an our on the phone, I just booked LGA-ATL-FCO-AMS-BCN-ATL-LGA on DL in BE.

Apparently the DL systems can't do stopovers and the FCO-AMS-BCN caused it to price out at 195k instead of 100k. After three escalations and an hour, i was finally ticketed.

Now, one more itin to find and book to burn off the DL miles.
