No. Referencing below, my baccalaureate did not get me licensure. There are other ways to get licensed, but the approach I'm taking gets me in the top group for consideration upon graduation (NJ has Certificates of Eligibility and Certificates of Eligibility with Advanced Standing.)

In many states depends upon whether the baccalaureate degree led to initial licensure. And TN wouldn't let me have a limited status match (economics and psychology) because I was certified more broadly in Maryland (all social science).

Did a social science certification permit you to teach economics? After taking that FTE course, I think that's the area I'd want to get into aside from straight history, as it seems that many teachers in NJ (and presumably elsewhere) are dual-certified. Knowing crazy NJ, an Econ teacher would need to have a Math certification.

So not only does my partner have to go to Detroit on Sunday for work, he's now going back there the following weekend for another work function. He has just lost all right to kid me about the crappy places I get sent for work for at least the next 30 days.

Don't think I got this posted yesterday, but US Airways has managed to impress me.

I guess a dual Plat/1K really gets their attention. My lowly CO Gold-ness equaled having to ask for my original exit row after a cancellation...on Christmas morning, no less.

I received a response from the PRG dinner location...

OK, we confirm your booking :)
Whether or not that means we'll get the "beer self-service" remains to be seen.

Well they only knew I was CO Plat. They didn't have my UA information there.

How did you manage exit rows on US? Did you have to call them?

I guess I should start trying to contact our consular official in Praha now. If beer self service is possible, chance of international incident is :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Every time I see an MD-11, my eye gets drawn to those freakishly large cockpit windows. They look like they were never drawn to scale in the original design and no one caught the mistake.

Yep. He asked if I wanted to go the second time but I'm not sure I really want to shell out $300 for an overnight trip to Detroit. He's literally flying up, checking into the hotel, going to an event that evening, and flying home the next morning. And he's flying US because it was the cheapest thing he could fly that earns CO miles.

The cabin windows are noticeably large, as well. It's a very cool plane.

I called them, but I suspect that I only had to because I got the status after I made this reservation. They loaded my CO number for me (since I couldn't find where to do so on the new and improved US2.0.com.suck) and assigned me the seats. I was sitting on my grandmother's veranda with my mother and monitor when I learned that I had been CXLD and moved to row 20-something. A visit to the ticket counter in PBI solved that, but IMO I should not have had to visit.

In the old days of Praxis, I passed certification for:

* "American" History (Praxis' term)
* World History
* Government
* Anthropology
* Psychology
* Sociology
* Geography
* Economics

Yes I'm actually looking at my certification, which stays in my teaching portfolio (which stays in the file cabinet).
