I guess I should start trying to contact our consular official in Praha now. If beer self service is possible, chance of international incident is :rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Don't worry, everyone will grab some extra Czech Crowns on arrival so we have enough to bail you out. :-:

Good morning, Box.

Brr! Chilly here, but only a dusting of snow on the ground. Roads are clear. Lake Brit is dusted with snow. the piles of backfill look like cupcakes with frosting on them!

The cabin windows are noticeably large, as well. It's a very cool plane.

The DC-10 had huge windows as well. McDonnell Douglas always promoted their bigger than Boeing windows as a selling point to customers.

Does the MD-11 have the -10s cool coat closets, that lift the garments up into the ceiling area above the cabin?

Yes I'm actually looking at my certification, which stays in my teaching portfolio (which stays in the file cabinet).

Hmmmm. All I have is Social Studies Content Knowledge, an exam in which all of those topics were covered to some extent. I looked at licensure rules for NJ and did not see a separate Econ exam. I would really like to sit for and pass another Praxis at some point so I can haz dual certification, and I fear having to take the Math one since I was never that great once the math started using letters instead of numbers.

I don't know why everyone just assumes it will be me that needs bailing out. :p

Ladies, Gentleman, and Distinguished ,

Over the past few minutes I have been working hard, pushing the boundaries of creative thought, traveling extensively between the toilet and my office, pouring my heart and soul into a special tribute documentary to the Box.

I humbly believe this is a fitting tribute to our special corner of the internet. One that has spawned much travel, even more beer consumption, shrubbery extractions, and even the occasional adoption of armadillos in Mendoza, Argentina (in the name of discounted Coors Light).

The Box has become an integral part of all our lives and has changed the way we view media. It has given a voice to the  and has been an agent of more.

It is with great pride that I unveil to you, my distinguished box brethern, my tribute documentary to our little corner of the world wide .

VIVA LA BOX. VIVA LA PWP. P:rolleyes:STY POST POST. :-:

I don't know. I didn't investigate the coat closets (didn't even know the DC-10s had those).

I have numerous routings in mind that I have played with. One day, I'll get to fly one or more of them. I build RTW's and Circle Pacific fares when I'm bored.

You can help me with mine when the time comes!

I called them, but I suspect that I only had to because I got the status after I made this reservation. They loaded my CO number for me (since I couldn't find where to do so on the new and improved US2.0.com.suck) and assigned me the seats. I was sitting on my grandmother's veranda with my mother and monitor when I learned that I had been CXLD and moved to row 20-something. A visit to the ticket counter in PBI solved that, but IMO I should not have had to visit.

Next time I fly them I'll have to call and ask about the exit row. I've had no issue entering OnePass numbers on the US website recently, so I think that problem is fixed. But it won't let me pick anything but the regular seats, even though the reservation does reflect Star Gold.

Due to a change in our reservation booking system at work, and US's cheap pricing out of ATL, I may have to fly them some this year. I feel a little less bad about it, though, given that CO has very few F seats in the ATL market now, so it's not like flying US over CO on some trips makes much difference when it comes to upgrades. I'd likely be in Y on an ERJ or Y on a US 319 either way.

About the only thing I will miss from SkyTeam is the access to this lounge...
