I have significantly fewer, but my philosophy is that I like companies that I perceive are undervalued (often despite rational judgment) due to their name, management team, or forward and historical numbers. My next buys are going to be index ETF's (based on what I think now).

Olton Hall, how did your Toastmasters speech go?

That's tomorrow night. It's not going well for some reason. I'm doing The Emperor’s New Clothes for a story telling project and I'm all jerky for some reason. I’ve even rephrased it into my words to make it all fit in the allotted time but it’s not flowing correctly. I suspect tomorrow night will be a big crowd w/ many guests being the first meeting of the year.

Estate planning -- meh. Who knows what to do with this current environment.

I'm still ticked the State of Tennessee won't let me purchase ETFs within my retirement funds associated with the state (403b, 457, or ORP) - can only hold mutual funds  One of the reasons I used those funds to get into World Bond and other opportunities.

I just did it to fly EWR-PHX on HP to avoid the  at EWR checkin and CO for PHX-EWR to avoid the  at PHX checkin. Rather stange being on a CO flt w/ HP boarding pass and a HP flight with CO boarding pass.

My ETF philosophy is that I want to ride the recovery (and stimulus) train with the overall market.

Well, guys, gonna love ya and leave ya!

Big day tomorrow! 75 tonnes of gravel is being dumped into Lake Brit and the "I'm-the-biggest-a$$hole-on-the-face-of-the-planet-and-I-can-make-your-life-a-total-misery-because-I-feel-like-it-and-I'm-power-crazy-Inspector" will come and decide whether it is frozen or not and either give us the yay or nay for setting the basement.

Do not be surprised to see lots of :mad::mad: emoticons spewing forth from me tomorrow....

By the way, OH, the ground engineer certified us for at least 3000psf? psi? something like that, and we only need 1500 for our basement walls. I'm sure that means something to you, but it's all double-dutch to me.

no idea! the GC said to me 75 tuns - so I don't know how to spell it, or what it even means. All I know is that there is a gopping great mountain of stone waiting to be dumped into the excavated hole!

There are some sectors I would like to get into but the management fees on the mutual fund compared to the ETF are
