That would technically be a legal connection since you're in Terminal 1 for everything, but with your luck, you'd need to get from C1 to B18. (and seeing the post that it's LH, you'd definitely be out of a high-B gate)

He probably never needed to adopt my strategy -- learn to cook as a way of impressing women. It worked too well, though, as I do all of the cooking when I am in town, and I never have enough time to make anything remotely complicated any more.

Is there a way to stand by for an earlier IAH-ORD? Same day standby is free on UA, I think. 40 minutes is doable if your plane is on time (always a big if at ORD) but it will be tight, as noted above.
