Another random & meaningless Penalty Box survey. How many BIS mi. do you have booked between now and Jan. 31? I used the KLS Great Circle Mapper to calculate BIS mileage.

My random & meaningless total:

39,854mi.

~10,000.

Hey now. HSV isn't all that bad. Like Houston, they claim to be the Space Capital of the World!

This coming from someone whose Flightmemory looks like the back-cover map to Lonely Planet's Guide to Redneckistan :p

I've done MRs out of HSV it really is a nice little airport.

In unrelated news, I have finished my last exam (tax :td::td::td:) and I am now holding a meeting with my three bestest buddies Jack, Jose, and Jim.

Post quality may go down...

Doubtful. Adding alcohol is a recipe for creating quotable quips. Remember...you might be able to edit your post, but not what others quote :D

Bedlam on the DL Forum!

Apparently, the limitations on DL's SkyChoice (Sleazypass equivalent) awards have been leaked. SkyChoice only available when A/D/Q buckets are avaiable (for F/J/Y classes, respectively). Chaos reigns here.

Apparently, the decision was made by DL's new head of revenue management: This Guy. Way to go DL!

That's right. I know Redneckistan. If that mistake fare had been originating in Redneckistan, it would have started someplace like WRL on a Beech 1900.

I thought the limitations already had been known - or was that all just speculation?

I think to get the Boy Scout Badge for Redneckistan, you have to fly into/out of TXK. You have Tyler on there, which is close, but not quite grotty enough :p

Right now it looks like mine is 12,701. That's subject to change depending on how I end up routing some trips to GJT and RDU (or PGV if I suck it up an fly on a US Dash 8 or CRJ). And if I happen to make the NYC Do (which is looking questionable) that may add some to the total as well.

The limitations were represented by RealDLInsider to be only 5% or less of all DL flights. From some intrepid sleuthing by a DL Forum Member (since confirmed by the sleuthing of many others), SkyChoice appears to be limited to A/D/Q bucket availability as a base-line, across the board. Essentially, SkyChoice redemption close to departure date will likely be next to impossible on most routes (as those buckets would likely be zeroed out). It is far worse than most over there had imagined.
