I love the old 2H nuts ..

They've sold the old 2H nuts to US as part of their enhanced domestic first catering (allergy, and nutrition free).

Of course, many of the traditionalists will balk at CO's choice of replacement nuts. The loss of the 2H Grade Slotted Nuts will hurt some nearly as badly as when CO changed the twill of its polyester seat-covers from E1176-87(1992)E01 Spec. to E2470-07. We all remember what a fiasco that was...

ha ha i won't
I think there really is some sort of delay into EWR for low ceilings.
although the co.com is not showing it in their operations , they told us 50 mins though so its not that bad , i have enough juice on my laptop to keep me busy.

Doesn't look like enough to slow things down for too long. The rain has almost passed through EWR now so things should be improving shortly.

See here.

Afterwards, get your mind out of the gutter ;)

I was actually hesitant to click on the link in the office, just in case. I never know with you

I also can't believe I'm even responding to this - or that I actually did click the link - but that's a whole different can of worms.

Can they use the NW approach to low ceilings: :D

They could take the NW route and fix a broken ceiling panel with a roll of navy blue duct tape and a staple gun, like I saw done on a DC-9-50 last month after part of a ceiling panel fell down during boarding at DTW.

Yeah, no kidding. I love how DL was making a big deal about that fake wood flooring in the MD-80 lavs while at the same time putting plastic cups in domestic F. At least now they've returned to real glassware in F, although plastic reigns supreme these days at the ATL CRCs, thanks to the water shortage there.

Real glasses in the BE lounge, though.

Yes, and Houston certainly is a paragon of urban planning. :D

Attention Aviation Enthusiasts, CO is now employing 1/2-13 Hot Dipped Galvanized Nuts (Part No. PHHHN1213HDG) as fasteners to anchor the ceiling panels to its fleet of 737NG aircraft. The casual observer will not be able to tell the difference...but the true enthusiast will gain that extra bit of pleasure on future CO flights, knowing that CO is the first to push the envelope a notch further, by moving away from those oh-so pedestrian Grade 2H 1/2-13 Slotted Nuts (Part No. PHHHN1213HDQ). I'm already adjusting my flying patterns in hopes that I'll be one of the first to fly on the newly equipped birds. :p

Did you learn this on a.net?

I think it may have been sarcasm aimed at the 737-900ER thread ;)

I believe his response was also tongue-in-cheek ;)

Indeed - I omitted the winky-wink.

Any updates on whether CO will provide improved sanitary napkins in the lavs with the rollout of the 739-ER and 787's? ;)

(I will add a winky-wink to this one, lest anyone confuse me with with Singapore_Air.)
