Interesting that you say this, as this morning I have snagged a pretty good fare to HNL in February on AA.

I haven't seen the deal crop up on MR, unless I'm being really dense today. Happens when one reads many hundreds of pages of student writing ...

I am displeased because he is tinkering with things that need to get back to proper values, yes, deflation is NEEDED. Japan is doing the same thing.

I am going to try to avoid OneWorld USA next year - I have top tier status on SkyTeam USA and BD to maintain ;)

Fare sale doesn't come up for me, but the fare has dropped by about $250 r/t overnight from LAX. ^

$4.95 and up sounds reasonable. Will be interesting to see how the service will work and timeframe vs. cost!

The left thinks it is the job of the Fed to boost employment? What kind of wonder-dust do they think Bernanke has?

Gogo's prices can be found here - http://www.gogoinflight.com/jahia/Ja...gogo/gogoPrice

$12.95 for a 3+ hours flight always seemed quite high to me...

Apparently so! What's your username - I tried to access twitter.com/hartmann and it says that account's suspended...

I use my full name there rather than my FT handle (and yes, I do regret picking such a boring one but I had NO idea I would end up using the site so actively!)

And then there was the year of "You." Interesting, but also could be viewed as a very convenient cop-out.

What kind of car is it?

2006 VW Golf. I really like it - it fit all my important criteria at the time of buying (grad school in a medium-sized city in the Northeast) and I'm still really happy with it. It gets good gas mileage, is fun to drive (manual, duh :)), has a lot of easily convertible interior space for a smallish car, and I've always thought the hatchback shape was kind of cute.

$12.95 does seem a bit high, but if I was going to be traveling a lot for a month, I'd probably go with the 30-day pass.
