Believe me it's worse in Fargo. We use to go to the Cities to warm up on weekends.

What SPG by MSP has good rates? The one in Minnetonka has decent rates (and is great for a mattress run for me as its maybe 7 minutes from my apartment), but that's a hike from the airport...

I used the light rail (I'm a big fan ^) and stayed at a few of the properties downtown.

I was getting weekend rates at the W for $100/night or thereabouts, IIRC. The place is dirt cheap for Friday night stays.

Westin was as low as $89/night I believe, even for Sunday night stays.

The Westin at $89 was quite the deal as well.

ETA: You beat me to it with your edit... :)

That makes sense...the one time I stayed at the W on a weekend was when I had a free SPG weekend that was about to expire and I would deserve a flogging if I didn't use it. Rate was around $155 for that night (the other property....I think a Westin, was around $100).

Folks at BD must have known about us when they made the earning chart for CO flights. A only earns at 1x (or 2x). It's a shame, as there's a nice $675a/i TPA-SMF BCOUPP that I would otherwise abuse.

Just thinking about it...my friend is having his wedding reception at the W next summer. I could go home (I'm on the Minneapolis/St Louis Park line, and the bus line downtown stops outside my apt), but $100 for a night's stay doesn't seem bad.

I do remember valet parking there being a ripoff...I guess I'll just bus in/out.

Mine was the opposite, a week in Kitzbuhel and 1 day in Salzburg.

The fact that I'm excited that it's going to be 52 in LAS on Saturday is sad that I'm setting such low standards.

It's been very cold here in LAS lately.

I just had a very amusing conversation with a rep from Chase. I had called regarding my CO World card and the rep began talking about the benefits. One of the things that she listed: "Now that CO and UA have merged, you have even more flights to choose from." :) I asked her if she meant to say that CO had joined *, but she said, "oh no, they merged."

Chase would be the main backer if a merger happened now...

Yeah. I'm waiting either for another mistake, or a decent fare to somewhere fun, that involves new lines.

Of the three that I booked, I don't think I have a duplicate itin on any of them. Some of the legs (namely getting in and out of GEG) dup, but that's it. I'm pretty sure I could have booked 2 more to get some more new lines, but I couldn't imagine visiting GEG that much. :)

I only got two new lines out of the GEG fares - to ORD and DEN (well...aside from the MSP-ORD and DEN-ORD lines that came as extras...). Was going to get a SEA line but had to cancel that one as something (namely a Springsteen concert at MSG) just happened to come up.

6 new lines this weekend coming up though!

Not long before I got laid off...I'm thinking it was in October of last year...I had a hotel guest walk up to me that wanted to fly in F from PHL to SMF. I sold him on stopping in IAH because the F fare 24 hours out was $437.
