Aww, my old work stomping grounds. I miss the Twin Cities this time of year. Nothing quite like the feeling of going outside with a congested nose from a cold and having it freeze shut while you tramp through the snow to the car.

I get to experience that in MSP a week from tomorrow.

The fact that I'm excited that it's going to be 52 in LAS on Saturday is sad that I'm setting such low standards.

Interesting. CO is showing a Z fare (225% or 425% with BD) WAS-SJU for $600a/i. Routed via IAH, that would be 27,327 mi @ 2.1cpm at 425%... plus SJU.

Fortunately I fly out of here for 12 days next Friday.

Same here. The 2009 kit included 2 very helpful program booklets.

In other news, several eastbound transcons are arriving in under 4 hours today - impressive!

I still have not received my new card. :(

I just had a very amusing conversation with a rep from Chase. I had called regarding my CO World card and the rep began talking about the benefits. One of the things that she listed: "Now that CO and UA have merged, you have even more flights to choose from." :) I asked her if she meant to say that CO had joined *, but she said, "oh no, they merged."

FareCompare F Search. Just plug in different starting cities. You can filter results on the lefthand side of the page. I usually restrict searches to US/UA, when I'm not cruising for pure mistake fares, as they generally have better Q-UP routing rules than CO.

I'm not sure if it's still there or not, but from time to time CO has a PHL-SNA F fare that is under $700. While not as lucrative as a MSP-GEG with four transfers, it's still not a bad deal.

They seemed to have really spread out the distribution - mine just arrived on Monday. The new black card is pretty cool looking.

While I would be all over it, i still have three MSP-GEG runs that will easily take care of my BD qual for next year and then some.

+1. I wish I had grabbed some for 2010 as well. :( Beyond the BD miles, I also enjoyed all the SPG stay credits involved with MSP overnights.

The only problem I see here is a lack of video.

I'm sure you won't be surprised that you are not the first to make that joke. Apparently one of the two had a similar comment on their FaceBook page.

Yeah. I'm waiting either for another mistake, or a decent fare to somewhere fun, that involves new lines.

What SPG by MSP has good rates? The one in Minnetonka has decent rates (and is great for a mattress run for me as its maybe 7 minutes from my apartment), but that's a hike from the airport...
