Good afternoon Box. Here I thought today was going to be peaceful day on the job hunt. I've been rather unexpectedly busy this morning. It seems my industry may have discovered something called contract work.

Yeah! Let's hope you can pick up a lucrative contract.

American football. Flag, I think? She just started doing it, and this is her first real game in front of spectators!

Good morning Box.

Icurhere2, I am taking a leaf out of your book. I am going to buy B&N gift certificates via e-bates (4% back), on my PPMastercard (miles) and get a $10 bonus for every $100 I spend.

I shall use the gift cards to purchase the Xmas gifts (books) for my daughter, plus games/DVDs etc for other daughter and Mr. Brit.

I'm talking gov't work here. One is an agency I wanted to get into earlier until they shut the door on all hireing.

And here I thought I was going to be fancy by dumping over a years collection of coins into CoinStar and using the Amazon voucher for gift shopping.

Good tip. Thanks. :-::-:

I might seek your advice when we get closer.

sitting outside so EVDO will get good reception, 2mb when outside and about 200k when inside, it's a perfect day overlooking the lake here, so no loss in sitting outside!

I know that Kroger (for those in the region) is going to give $10 off the purchase of $100 in select gift cards after Thanksgiving - includes Sears and Best Buy.

Must stress that some companies allow one to get miles/points when purchasing gift cards. If the company then accepts the gift cards online (an even smaller subset), there's the option to get miles/points yet again.

Dollar coins are better for depositing (exception being the $10 bonus right now) but my "lesser coins" always meet this result. None of the banks in my town have free coin counting.

Tangential to the above, but nonetheless, UA 1K with all that is going on as I have noted seems like a really powerful status to have IMHO. The only problem with it I suppose is the "UA" portion of the UA 1K equation.;):D Truth be told I actually like some of UA. Just some parts of it can be rough (i.e. IAD GAs, ops falling apart at ORD, the ICC).

I'm thinking of starting a true blog next summer - not as a thrift person but to show the economic way of thinking.

Based on their websites, yes. But I was talking about the lots on site at the airport. There is a graphic under the parking section of abia.org that has the updates.
