That's not how I read it. I see it as them selling him 3 at the lower fare and 2 at a higher fare, averaging out to more than the lower. In other words, just like it should be.
I don't like that the airlines force everything up into the higher fare automatically rather than splitting it like this as a default, but asking for pricing on three and then changing to five has the potential to result in fare differences. |
