Link to the original post containing the pics is here. If your friend or anyone wants full-res originals, do let me know.

Thank you, sir. I'll pass the link, and the above information. It is a nephew who now wears that badge (not now in guard), and he is understandably proud. He may not know that information.

Are there any Army astronauts? Naming one is a beer-winning bar question at the right bar, for sure.

You know IIRC, Utica is the only stretch of the Thruway in NYS that has street lights. Wonder why that is?;)

Most of the street lights are usually burned out.:D

It didn't possibly happen to fozz. It happened to you, fozz, and to fozz's friend at our brunch table.

Yeah, the 2d Amendment is a good one, CM, but I thank God for the 21st Amendment.:-:

So far there are 1,400 rounds of 9mm to be split among us, and another 400 rounds of .380ACP. I love the smell of primer...smells like freedom. :D

One thousand, four hundred rounds? Clean and cool; clean and cool.

I'm sorry. Utica is a city best viewed speeding past on the NYS Thruway.

Agreed. I have friends who work there when they escaped the wilds of Manhattan. They live in New Hartford which is a nice place. I was there for Riggie Fest a few years ago since I was working in Syracuse a bunch at that time.

I curse the need for that amendment in the first place.

Never happen, sadly. All of the Concordes are up on sticks or on museum display.

I believe BA has kept at least one, if not two, in fly worthy condition. There is always one parked by the hangars at LHR that isn't on sticks.

Now, now, now, I always find the humor that the "18th" was repealed by the "21st".;)

According to Wiki, 18 such individuals exist, and two of them are rather well-known.

Tomb Guards are required to recall on command more than 300 gravesites. If your friend's nephew was a Tomb Guard, I'd be willing to bet that your friend knows how scarce the Guard badge is. One of my teachers in middle school has a son that worked the Tomb. On our 8th grade trip to DC, the school scheduled the trip around seeing him participate in a changing.

He may be back in the midwest. He was in rare form this past week.

Said person was harassing one of the girls about being married and a boxer quickly replied, rather loudly, "she's not your type".

That was rather priceless.

I'm the only one with the misfortune of the bathroom incident I believe. Those two were at the same table as the other party which may have been worse.

News to me, wow. I thought Concorde was treated by the airlines basically the same as the USAF treated the SR-71. There are two flyable Blackbirds left at Dryden Research Center, but there has been no federal budgeting allocated to them for about ten years now. All of the tooling and such for Blackbird was destroyed, so I'm not even sure that those two examples are even capable of flying again...that's what I meant by the similarity to Concorde.

Holy smokes! My LH flights yesterday has already posted to my OP account. Talk about German efficiency ;)
