Unfortunately not – that's one thing I've not made before.

We sent him to Turkey

Maybe we should do a potluck DO in Houston. We can cook out in the backyard, making fish tacos, enchiladas, tamales, and anything else we can think of.

Oh well. I have a newfound love for that stuff and the best I've found is at Don Pablo's, of all places...liberally doused in Cholula, of course.

there is not a real word in spanish for cheesteak
it would be something like sandwich de carne con queso
or i would just use spanglish and call it a cheesteak

If it was spanglish, wouldn't it be quesosteak?

No, that would be eggs with armadillo. Not exactly sure why you'd want to eat that, but to each his own.

yeah , but most of the time I just say the word in english with a spanish accent while in a sentence in spanish and it becomes spanglish.

example " El viernes me voy a Philadelphia a comer un cheesteak "

There are starving children in (insert country name here) that would be happy to have eggs and armadillo!

Heck, they might even be happy with armadillo eggs...

On a happier note, took my first CO flight in 30 years yesterday LAX-IAH-SJU, in the back of the plane, and it was probably my best flight to SJU ever- and usually I am in AA F when I fly here. (Gotta burn those Citi/AA CC miles somehow!)

I was looking for an airline to switch to when SkyPiles takes over NW, and I think we have a winner. Now to find that status match thread...

...and to think I just wasted $500 to get Rosetta Stone. Wished I learned this secret first!

My grandmother used to always tell me that, until one day around age seven I replied back "There's a post office down the street, let's mail it to them then since they need it so badly."

I got sent away from the table, and my parents, who were out of town at the time, got an earful from her about their smart mouth son when they returned. Years later my dad mentioned that it was all he could do to keep from dying of laughter when his mother went on a tirade about how I had said that. Apparently he had wanted to tell her the same about certain foods many times in the past.
