...AF is a great J product, by the way - definitely one of the best (and, arguably, the best) in Skyteam, in my opinion.

But not the JFK-CDG flights which are denominated by AF as "short service" flights and are short catered and which have shortchanged service. :td:

I am flattered by his toast and hope that you can show up for the cheesesteaks. I might be closer to 630 than 6 if my meeting in NJ runs a bit late.

BTW, I need to go out to SDF next week and might be able to hook up for dinner with Mr. spiff (unless he has hockey every night). :)

Im almost 90 % sure I will make the cheesesteaks .
Aso add watching college football to Mr spiff's schedule, from the brief time i talked to him I learned that he loves his University of Colorado Buffaloes , as well as hockey .(he was wearing a NYR Jersey )

Now I'm even more pissed that I can't make it.

Are the cheesesteaks in PHL on Friday or Sat this week?

Ok, I have seriously miscalculated my EQM’s this year. I will fall short by about 500 miles for gold:eek:, so obviously a MR is in order for me. I am going to have Thanksgiving off and the weekend as well. Any thought on a run from EWR or NYC that would yield the best chances for a bump or two. My brother is flying EWR-LAS on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I booked him on CO1468 figuring that might be oversold and he can take a bump. So I am thinking that is a good choice, but I am open to other options from the experts who might know better than me.

I get to Fly!

Well in two weeks I will get my first chance to get back on a plane. YEAH! Being on the ground sucks! Of course when I spend the two flights SEA-IAH in coach I may be singing another song. But like I told a friend today, I have to make atleast Silver this year. :(

jrzyshawn Sep 2, 2008 7:03 pm

I am very sorry to hear about going from Plat to Silver. A Few years ago I went from Silver to NOTHING for a 2 or 3 year period with just one or two flights a year and it was a very sad time for me.

Scott, glad you'll be in the sky!

Buffs are fine but his insistence on rooting for New York Rangers is probably his greatest weakness (along with a few other weaknesses that shall not be listed here). ;)

I think that you'll eventually figure out how to get there. :)

Good point - I have several on one of my mantles at home. If you are like me, you can talk the FA's into giving you a few extras (if they have them), or other passengers into giving you their house if they do not seem to care about it.

Those are definately why you would choose one of the other. :D we are missing 10 houses to complete our 'collection'. Kind of rediculous, but hey, good conversation piece/s.

And... on most occasions, I've seen them offer $500 VDB vouchers + hotel + food on #1776. If I didn't have to work on Mondays, I would take it.

I was excited thinking that I could be in for a VDB for my MR, but nope I am on 657 x 2 and 776 x 2. Missed the 1. :(
