My UA flights continue to be mostly great. Although, the catering hasn't been all that; last night I should have had the shrimp salad, but they catered three of them and they were gone by the time the FA got to me in 2A. I had the pasta instead, which was edible, but totally *meh*. I ended up eating half of it and ordering a quite yummeh bacon cheeseburger from room service after hitting the hotel in Baton Rouge a few hours later.

Are UA FA's supposed to ask passengers other than GS/1K what their meal preference is in advance. I have noticed that as a *G on "paid" F tix (:D), I almost always get asked my meal choice in advance of other passengers.
Usually they do try to give priority by status and paid F. My flight was IAD-MSY, departing at 5:00 PM, and scheduled to arrive around 7:00 PM, but we departed 10 mintues early and landed over half an hour early, so not getting my first choice wasn't a big deal. I wasn't that hungry, and my real dinner at the hotel wasn't extremely late. |
