Although, the catering hasn't been all that; last night I should have had the shrimp salad, but they catered three of them and they were gone by the time the FA got to me in 2A. I had the pasta instead, which was edible, but totally *meh*. I ended up eating half of it and ordering a quite yummeh bacon cheeseburger from room service after hitting the hotel in Baton Rouge a few hours later.

Are UA FA's supposed to ask passengers other than GS/1K what their meal preference is in advance. I have noticed that as a *G on "paid" F tix (:D), I almost always get asked my meal choice in advance of other passengers.

Anyone want to work on some workflow charts in Visio for me?

So not in the mood to work tonight, yet I must.

They usually do. I think the FA last night didn't even bother because out of 8 seats in F, about 5-6 had people trade seats. I think only myself and the guy next to me in 2B didn't move around, because they had separated several parties traveling together when the upgrades had cleared.

Usually they do try to give priority by status and paid F.

My flight was IAD-MSY, departing at 5:00 PM, and scheduled to arrive around 7:00 PM, but we departed 10 mintues early and landed over half an hour early, so not getting my first choice wasn't a big deal. I wasn't that hungry, and my real dinner at the hotel wasn't extremely late.

Absolutely, because I'll be making pitchers full! That's a plural there! You've got a long drive though, better make it a flight.

With their new program you'll get free soy, free syrup and free brewed refills. Great for coffee drinkers, not so great for tea drinkers.

Agree. All I order is green tea so wouldn't work for me!

Why must they always ruin a good beer by adding raspberries? Though their wide selection seems to make up for that.

Darn. Too late to make the last BTR-IAH of the evening. Guess I'll have to take a raincheck on that.

I don't order from Starbucks, so it's moot for me. :D

Yep, I've walked in on people a couple of times, including once seeing far more than I really needed to.

Very true -- the way I've seen most UA FA's do it is ask passengers sequentially what their first choice is, and once everyone is asked, dole out the meals according to status and preference.

Bit classier then criss-crossing the cabin, IMHO. ^

Last week you may have.

That can easily be considered a live update from the JFK lounge. I can't tell if I'm buzzed or crashing, but either way I smell sleep in the very near future. rolov did give me slippers - only question now is if it's cruel and unusual to take my shoes off.
