I think I'll be more like the mom who has bought the cases and is passing out boxes on flights so I may be a bit more popular than obnoxious. :) FAs, GAs, and PClub agents may all love me.

the amount of homework that she has in K
And I'm not interested in discussing "teaching to the test". The public school curriculum can be stultifying. |
We took naps in K. I got an award.:o

Homework in K? I was always under the impression that K was about socialization and teaching kids how to be in school. I can see the occasional out of class assignment, but homework?

Speaking of feeling dirty, I need to whore it up in PWP 2.0  |

Agreed, but every teacher I know who's worth a d@mn has done it many, many times, because they have to. It's nothing new — my teachers were doing it in the 1980s, and my mother spent thousands of dollars over the course of career on materials for her classroom. This, yet teachers remain some of the poorest paid degreed professionals in our workforce.

I don't remember homework before the third grade, although we might have had a little in second grade. |

We didn't, but I went to a private kindergarten that was only three or four hours in the morning.

Speaking of feeling dirty, I need to whore it up in PWP 2.0  I need to stop whoring it up in here and get to work on crap I really don't want to do. Developing end-user documentation of business processes for a client who is too lazy to do it on their own (it's not really in the scope of my engagement with them) is not something I enjoy. And this client is getting billed for every second I spend on this project for them, because they insisted I do it. Oh well. It helps my bonus. I just don't want to hear about it from our management when the client gets mad about their invoice next month. |
