Likely, but it will actually be on Wednesday evening, departing Thursday morning. Not sure how much time outside of that I'll have quite yet. And there is always the hope of an impending job offer, so we'll see what happens.

Our favorite baggage services agent has chimed in on this as well I believe it is true, at least on domestic routes. Lots of rumors about why (h1n1, turn times, etc.) But at the end of the day it is, as always, all about the Benjamins. I wouldn't be too surprised to see BoB a few months later.

MCO shuts down early. Almost nothing open here at 9pm.

It's been posted on airlinecrew.net as a rumor. I've heard this rumor myself from several people. The problem with the pillows and blankets is that we spend alot of time folding them and/or removing them from the plane and replacing them. It's all about the time it takes to turn an airplane and possible revenue if we sell them. Now that the crews have these hand held machines that accept credit cards I can see the hand writing on the wall.

There has also been talk about going to a BOB program with meals. That I don't see because of Chelsea. Airline kitchens loss lots of money when airlines go to BOB. Sales of food drop dramatically.

And, regardless of the number of threads posted here relating to quality or the lack thereof, serving free meals even on domestic flights is a marketing advantage.

Thanks for asking....I'm actually about 95% better than I was 2 days ago. My gig last night went great and I had no problem singing so I guess I'm over the worst of it.

It seems like a lot of Jersey folks are coming down with this virus....could be worse....could have been a stomach bug

Glad you're feeling better. I managed to poison myself, with my own cooking :D last weekend. I bought some pork chops and made a dutch oven dish that was cooking in the oven for almost 1.5 hours. Then next day was quite interesting. I was never very far from the bathroom.

I agree. Our food costs are not that high and I believe that it is a marketing advantage. Let's hope the new management thinks like I do.

Don't think lawyers are capable of thinking like 'us'

ALCO is an exception, he's not a full lawyer yet :D

Ouch! Sorry to hear it! Does that mean I should think twice before accepting a dinner invitation?? :p

By the way....I think I spotted a poop-reference of the day in your post (see italicized emphasis) :D

Alright, back to bed. We'll see what becomes of all this silliness.

Steph3n Oct 5, 2009 1:53 am

I can't sleep :( I have laid in bed for a long time without able to sleep any, and no not going to PWP.

Morning Box. The St. Paul RiverCenter is the classroom of the day, but not before an Embassy Suites omelet.

They are called hash browns, not hash whites. Is it wrong to want that crunchy top coating on my morning potato product?
