Yeah, the Pledge one (which she purchased) has rollers that deposit the hair inside a plastic container, which supposedly can't be opened. The directions tell you to trash the entire thing. Yet, the rollers easily pop off, allowing you to empty the container, and put the rollers back on.

The 3M isn't as bad — it's very similar to a brush we have here at the house for removing cat hair from furniture and clothes. It uses the same type of surface as the 3M device, but the pad isn't disposable. Instead you just run your hand over it in the opposite direction over the trash can and the hair comes right off.

I'm just really, really against products that are designed for one use and then to be tossed. 90% of the time there's no reason for it.

The business about them not being reusable is nothing but an irresponsible ploy on the part of the manufacturer to get people to buy a new one every few weeks — while more plastic junk ends up in a landfill. I'd be all for legislation outlawing such disposable cleaning tools. Whatever happened to actually reusing things, instead of all this disposable crap we have on the market today?

Yep - it's crap. I'm going on use # 30 right now and can't even imagine forking out for a new one each time! They just want to make a buck or two. I'm glad to help them not do it. (but regardless, it works great!)

I read on the other board no more pillows and blankets in y. :td: if true.

Which board?

I certainly hope not. CO is one of the few airlines still providing those and it does help set them apart.

Our favorite baggage services agent has chimed in on this as well I believe it is true, at least on domestic routes. Lots of rumors about why (h1n1, turn times, etc.) But at the end of the day it is, as always, all about the Benjamins. I wouldn't be too surprised to see BoB a few months later.

MCO shuts down early. Almost nothing open here at 9pm.

Which thread was it posted in?

And MCO is pretty dead on many nights by around 7:00 PM.

Yes, it does work great. I was pretty impressed with how well it worked after I emptied hers and tried it. They have a German shepherd and she is in a constant state of shed.

The vacuum cleaner we purchased last year came with a pet hair attachment that works quite well, too. It's called a "power paw" and attaches to the hose. Inside is a brush that rotates at high speed, using the suction of the vacuum as power to drive the brush. It gets cat hair off of furniture incredibly well. The only downside is you have to pull out the entire vacuum cleaner to use it.

The LM Sunny Isles Beach recently announced that it is leaving SPG on 10/13. I am lucking out big time as I am checking out on 10/12. ^

Wow...not much notice there. That's crappy.

I hate eating in a restaurant when the staff is cleaning up all around you. Not that I expected much better at the Chili's Too at MCO. But it sucks.

I think 50% provisioning of pillows and blankets in F is a joke. Either put one on for every F seat, or not at all.

CO was unusual in that even the RJs had a decent number of pillows and blankets.

As for BoB, I wouldn't be shocked to see it happen next year. Everyone else is doing it, and I've been flights where they have sold a ton of food on board. And now that CO finally has credit card readers on domestic flights, it's just that much easier to offer a variety of items, at different prices.

Somehow I still wouldn't be too shocked to eventually see some form of E+ come to CO too, at the expense of some F seats and the EUA system. I just have this feeling…

I got all hot and bothered thinking my IAH-SEA flight was "upgraded" to a 752. I now notice the seat map is a 753. When I check a few more reservations that were 753's the aircraft says "752" but displays a 753 seat map. I guess it's another co.com bug.

I witnessed a waiter that was maybe 19 carding a woman who was obviously in her 70s when she ordered a margarita at that Chili's about two years ago. She was quite mad, and he swore "We're supposed to card everyone."

 I wonder if franchise fees making this move, or SPG is giving the boot.
