That is frequently true about the Hiltons domestically but internationally, they do pay attention to Gold members. I have always been treated well by Hiltons in Europe and Australia and as a Gold always get, at the least, lounge access.

Ah feeling better after sleeping until 10:45 AM. Watching the spokes holes going at it on TV, drinking coffee, and looking at a lawn that needs mowing.

Save your energy and your psyche for tomorrow when you will really need to be at the top of your game.

We wish you the best of luck. ^

Maybe it's the less than middle of popular areas I travel to but I get good service from HH as a silver. Last weekend diamonds wondered how I got to be on the top floor and they were one floor below me. Like it really makes a difference as the rooms were identical and the constant sound of police sirens I doubt was any quiter on the 14th (i.e. 13th) floor than the 12th. I don't expect much out of the programs I belong to so I'm easy to please.

Thank you sir. I think I need to do the mowing for strictly thinking time and to make sure I'm tired enough tonight after this late rise.

I feel very much the same way. As far as an airline is concerned, I am looking for a company that goes where I need to go and then I will make the FF plan work as well as it can for me.

For hotels, I need a company that has locations at my regular stops while delivering good value for the money. The difference here is that while the airlines frequently cannot deliver what a top tier flyer always wants, the hotels generally can do so and the frequent stayer plans are all very comparable.

What would a situation be where resting one's hoohoo on the table would be appropriate? I'm asking for......uhhh.....a friend.....yeah....a friend.

I will cite the exact reference when I get home - the hoohoo story came from C. David Heymann's RFK bio.

Morning Box.

My headache leads me to believe I'm a tad hungover.

In, this can't be good news, there's an Oktoberfest happening right behind my house. Seriously. 4 acres of Leiderhosen and beer.

They must have done it out of tradition, recognizing the pains the U- pilots endured. Their flights just weren't that long. They didn't have to be. From Wikipedia:

On 6 March 1990, Blackbird ... set a coast-to-coast aircraft speed record: 67 minutes 54 seconds, at an average speed 2,125 miles per hour,

and

New York to London in 1 hour 54 minutes, including deceleration for in-flight refueling...[with] speeds during this flight of Mach 3.2+.

Today I really have to get work done.

Participation is just fine. We've got over 200 participants and are very close to a sellout.

Typical DL behavior. Seriously, I don't know how any of those douches can afford to fly anything resembling business class.

There's photo-documentation showing this DL / NW flyer as wearing a tie even in Y.

I had to do errands without solving the case of the missing Blackberry.

I've been in that situation too, and I'm not sure what benefit it has to the recruiter. They don't get paid unless you take the job, right? So why should they set up inappropriate phone screens?

I mowed my lawn yesterday -- explain to me why it's October in the mid-Atlantic and I am mowing my lawn and dodging mosquitos.

ETA: 40-year-old DC-9-31. N8960E.

They are good aircraft for their mission.

I still like Hyatt Diamond (although SPG might be on my horizon as a second program).
