Absolutely 100% agree. But, of course, there will be many issues that factor into her choice, not least of which is probably emotional abuse, lack of self-esteem, "battered wife" syndrome, etc. etc. etc. and so we must extend some empathy towards her and her (in our eyes, poor) choice of boyfriend.
