Maybe you can work in a Q200 leg if we end up doing golf somewhere that isn't local.

Yes, unfortunately this will kill the Q200 odyssey. :( However, there is no doubt that I will definitely be working on another trip that will include an ABE-CLE Q200 segment.

September 5-7 works for me as well. ^

Cheesesteaks? Beer? Planespotting? Golf? Anything works for me! If other halfs are going to be involved, I am sure I could convince mine to join us for some of the festivities.

(Too bad the EWR-PHL Q200 isn't starting until October. :()

Come up early Friday if you can, now that I think about it...that way you get lunch and dinner in America's most overweight city.

Friday works for me but I do not believe that +1, who grew up in Philly, will attend due to all the calories in the proposed lunch and dinner. :)

The service might start in October, but the first flight will actually be taking off sometime in February of 2012.

Speaking of light fare, I have just finished sampling the new (limited time only) Whataburger Patty Melt. This airy, 5,000 calorie snack is a pleasure to behold. Between mouthfuls of tender-aged grease and well-buttered Texas Toast, one can detect a hint of grilled onions amidst the heady bouquet of cheese and something creamy (not entirely unlike congealed aioli).

This precursor to certain colon-cancer is topped only by the legendary A1 Thick N' Hearty Burger... which, unfortunately, hasn't made an appearance in several months. Rumor has it that Whataburger can only offer A1 Thick N' Hearty Burgers in limited-time intervals, as constant availability would lead to unsustainable mortality rates amongst their clientele.

If it's 5,000 calorie snacks you crave, come up and join us in PHL. I would relish an opportunity to share an adult beverage with the ALCO himself.

I'd love to, but it looks like I'll be in MLU (Monroe, Louisiana) on 9/5-9/7, having engagement pictures made that weekend. We spent this weekend touring various stores to set up the registry. I can't believe she was dumb enough to let me have a scanning gun. Unfortunately, I later discovered that she could edit the registry on the internet.

I would like to get up to Philly at some point. I have only ever connected through PHL, and would like to see the city. I also want to take some photos of the S.S. United States.

If you want to shoot the United States, you'd be remiss in not stopping by USS New Jersey as well. Let me know...pick a Friday and I'll come meet your flight.

Update: if other halves are involved, mine is interested. She also said that I should rescind the "nerdlike cult" reference. (Duly noted/post edited as such.) She just sees no romance in air travel/aviation.

ALCO: I too look forward to the registry building day. I too expect to have most of my choices deleted later.

Ahhh, mine is too smart to let me get involved...;)

Neither my wife nor I wanted to deal with the registry after a while. I ended up outsourcing one of the registries to my sister & mother. We got some great stuff and I didn't have to do the shopping part.

ConciergeMike Aug 3, 2008 8:44 pm

Mine is far too picky to allow outsourcing. I think we both would enjoy it too much. For some reason, I love to shop as long as it's stuff I'm interested in.

Mine is dumb enough to marry me. :D

Sounds good. I'll see what the fare Gods offer in the coming months and let you know if I pull the trigger on PHL.
