The job I'm looking into is all local travel, nothing by air...but it beats the tar out of AC.

How is AC holding up in these tough economic times? I havent been able to make it down in a couple of months but it was dead when i went in the begining of June. My comp offers from the Trop have gone to pretty much nothing but the promos at Bally's seem to be decent but not good enough to really make me want to make the bus ride down.:rolleyes:

My brain hurts. I'm trying to figure out how to jiggle the routings to squeeze the following aircraft into ten days: (1) Saha Air 707-300, (2) SCAT Air Antonov-24, (3) SCAT Air Yak-42, (4) Imair Tupolev-134, (5) IranAir A310-200, (6) IranAir 747SP

Anything else is icing on the cake. I have a feeling that the aircraft above won't be plying the skies for too much longer.

Memorial Day is usually the start of the season. This year, everyone was holding out hope that it would take off after July 4th. This season has been one big fat :( - the foot traffic stinks. Tough times mean that no one is gambling.

I'm not surprised at your Trop comps dying off. The state of New Jersey probably isn't interested in giving away for free what they (mistakenly) think they can charge money for. Since I left, I've heard nothing encouraging about the property's progress. It's still a ward of the state, and in a shocking departure, I'm not totally blaming the state on that...it's obvious how bad the credit markets are.

Bally's is known for being a high-volume, low-yield slot house. Lots of people playing low-coin slots. Table players aren't known for getting big comps anywhere around town, because the revenue is at the machines. Come back down and start playing nickel slots - your inbox will runneth over. The one bright spot left is the airshow, which I'm :mad: that I can't get to this year. I'm going to miss a V-22 demo.

BFF and her fiance both work in IT at CO (different departments, though). I'm pretty sure it's slim pickings over there and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a hiring freeze now at HQ (but don't quote me. I'm just extrapolating from what she's told me).
