The dog park (I live about 10 miles south of SFO) is divided into two areas: small and large dogs. Each area has benches, tables and chairs,lights and hugh umbrellas plus running water and bowls for the dogs. The small dog side has a large turf field with a cement walkway for fence chasing. The large dog side is half turf and half powder gravel areas and is twice the size of the small dog area. We are also given a large supply of plastic bags for poop pick up and watering cans for washing way the evidence.

The park is located right next to the boat ramp so those dogs that love to swim only have to walk a short distance.

The Park and Rec people maintain the area daily.

That's gotta be an easy call to the City should you complain - "the cabbie named Hitler". "Oh yeah, we know him."

I love the people in the article who say that crime and vandalism went up when they took their razor wire down, and the city is oblivious to all this. sbm12 said he wanted to expatriate, and I'm starting to think it's not a bad idea myself. Maybe I'll get a job teaching English in Argentina and :rolleyes:v can come visit me.

Kinda keeping my fingers crossed that something will show up for over the Thanksgiving day weekend - really just want to enjoy a destination for a few days instead of getting right back on a plane (as I will be doing for 9X trips...erff..). One can hope, right?

For now I'm thinking SEA and doing the downtown area + Boeing factory, etc for one trip over thanksgiving... Otherwise it's a there and back to SEA or another transcon weekend... in Y.. I'm taking sticker donations.. :D

Your dog is very lucky to live where (s)he does. I really feel sorry for dogs that don't get some off-leash romping time with or without other dogs. They can't maintain their mental or physical health without it.
