With the big parts of Sahkalin-I done, I doubt we'll ever see the planes at IAH like we used to. They may make a random trip here or there, but it will not be the constant frequency that it once was. |

It was when I was living in EDI. The same family friend who set me up with an intriguing job in Honduras for a summer was working a deal (through his company) with a logistics company that was shipping equipment from IAH to Eastern Siberia on the An-124. It would have involved taking on another obscure summer job, paying my own way to IAH to start the job, other personal expenses (like the necessity of having a car), and I declined as it would have also severely interrupted my personal life (which at the time involved regular commuting between EDI and BNA to see a certain ). Unfortunately, this family friend no longer does business with that company. To quote J. Edward, I would be all over that one like a fat kid on a cupcake today...

. BTS.gov indicates that my late June DFW-IAH on AA was actually on an MD-82, and not an MD-83.
