I soaked it for the one hour minimum the directions specified, and then put it over low heat after preheating the grill. We ended up with delicious fish, and a plank that's burned to a crisp on the bottom, which I just threw out. There will be no reusing that one. Next time we soak all day.

FWIW, Costco has wooden planks too. Whole Paycheck charges too much for most things.

What's that line about insanity being when you do the same process over and over and expecting different results? Found out tonight that I have in the course of my unemployment applied for 36 separate positions with :-:wood. For as much as I like to call out other people's stupidity, 36 rejects from one company is quite dumb on my part.
