I need to get some sleep as well - I saw that I have to lead an accountability meeting tomorrow, followed by developing three workshops for next week.

My understanding is that you have to be on an international F connection to get into the FCT.

I thought that they changed it so only originating pax get it at FRA, not connections.

For a small while they tried to make the FCT only available for pax originating in FRA, but that rule was enforced very lightly. One of the things that was done was the removal of the shuttle to the FCT, so you would have to walk or take a taxi to the FCT from the main terminal. They will not turn you away if you show up at the FCT and you are holding a F BP that departs from FRA.

@ fozzAs far as access to the FCL B, you can be arriving in F and departing in Y,C, or F on LH or LX and have no problems to enter.
The main difference between the FCT and the FCL B is the limo transfer to the plane. The FCT is not linked to any terminal so you will get a limo to any gate position. The FCL is around gates B22-24 , so any gates near there will get "Is Not Possible" for the car. The flights to the USA depart from the A gates, so a limo transfer is possible, although usually very short since you are just crossing the tarmac.

Finally , it seems more HONs use the FCT, even though they may only be in C. So the chances for the minivan are higher in the FCT that the FCL because they make you share a ride.

rolov, are you on a crazy business trip or a premium cabin mileage run?

It was a combination of awards from MH, SQ and a few paid segments including the KUL-YYZ mistake fare from a few months ago.

G'morning, Box. The a/c is broken at my gym this morning. :(

Steph3n Aug 19, 2009 7:02 am

grrr exciting day for me on standby now. Got stuck in construction and police every 10 miles on my 100 mile drive to the airport :(

I made it 2 min late for checked bag cutoff! And they would not budge :(

Going to do cedar plank grilled salmon tonight, with broccoli. We'll see how it turns out.

When we do CP salmon, I always give it a 'glaze' consisting of whole grain mustard & a bit of brown sugar... YUM! When I was rebuilding my fence after Ike last year, we had 2 extra cedar pickets, but I wasn't allowed to use them. They were $4 each for a 6' section (compared to the $12ish for a small pack of planks at Costco), but my wife told me she didn't want her food on something that was stacked in piles at Home Depot.

Yeah, my understanding is that those things are treated and whatnot. I wouldn't want food on them either.

Steph3n, sorry to hear about your troubles. Where was the construction?

FWIW, Costco has wooden planks too. Whole Paycheck charges too much for most things.

I know, but the amount of gas I'd use driving to/from a Costco would probably far outweigh a dollar or two of cost savings.

And given the sorry state of the grocery stores that are close to where we live, most of our shopping ends up being done at Whole Foods or a farmer's market that we tend to hit on Saturdays. We also try to buy organic produce and meat when possible, and those are the two best sources we've found in the area for that.

All of brown and mills county are blessed by 'stimulus' funds needless construction! I knew about 3 miles of it near my home, but not 15+ miles of it, and the police stations throughout.

the 3 miles near my home, they just paved at the end of 2007/start of 2008.

got through to the elite desk, they can't protect me on the original flight I was connecting to....however once the auto attendant finally hear my number, it was instantly connected so that's good.

The only Trader Joe's I've shopped in is the Midtown Atlanta location. For items you want to take home and cook from scratch, it pretty much sucks. Great if you want higher quality and more exotic frozen stuff, but most of the time that we've gone in there, trying to find fresh produce and such has been a challenge, because they just don't stock that much. Is that the case everywhere with them? I must admit after living in Houston with no Trader Joe's and hearing all the hype about it, then moving to a city where there is one, I was pretty underwhelmed.
