A lot of reaction coming from PHL is that those who root for the Eagles will also hate that team for signing Vick.

Both the Eagles and the Phillies played at the Vet. It was a dual purpose stadium.

The local area people know all too well that Eagles fans will claim to love the team and bleed green, but will boo and hiss and wish painful deaths upon players and coaches and their families for one botched play. The fans around here are deranged lunatics that expect and demand total perfection. Rare, IME, is the Eagles fan who can intelligently debate what went wrong in a loss.

On a somewhat related note, when I got to my fiancee's last night her father brought up at the dinner table that tonight was the first preseason game. I asked if the Eagles fans have to re-learn the chant at the start of every season...maybe they forgot how to spell the name of the team in the offseason. That got a chuckle from the fiancee and her sister, a sidelong "you really said that?" glance from her mother, and a complete nonreaction from her father. I'll be here all week, try the veal.
