So I just crossed 1M overall miles (as measured on FM) with my flight yesterday LAX-IAD. Not much fanfare since it was a business trip (and me in Y :(). Was hoping that my upcoming YYC flight would be the one that crossed over the mark since it would add a new FM line but alas, work comes first.

Sadly, VA is in the same boat - liquor can only be purchased at an ABC store.

Well, I made it and I am now a married man! The weather was great, the ceremony was perfect and the reception was a blast!! Thank you for all the well wishes. We are sitting in the DL 77L seats now - ready to go! I have a feeling these seats will actually make the 14:25 flight quite pleasant! ALCO, I know thinks will work out for the best for you! I am almost done unpacking. Unfortunatly ATT Wireless says tower is working now but still no signal except ten to 15 feet outside my new place. My house is a no wireless zone!! They asked me to call them and see if they could do some phone work once I am on another phone besides cell. All this after they tell me I am in a good to moderate cell phone area. Excuse me but if I have no signal in my house the coverage is neither good or moderate. I am ready for the DCA DO next weekend!! |

As we love to hear about some of the crazy experiences people have on board I thought I would bring the box the following gem!
DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?? I am still sprised that no one mentioned my post about are Boxers A-Hole or B-Hole People? Or you can name your Hole! Has any one seen Old Greg here? (this is a long British comedy skit but was interestingly funny when I watched it the other night - I may have been tired) Enjoy Everyone! Have a great Sunday! |
After going outside and coming back in, I realize that my AC's working very well (and working over-time).
|
Quite the hangover. :-:

I would probably drink a bunch of water and go back to bed (write off the day).

Alaskan Summer or Amber?

Thoughts on the Nikon D60?
Found it for $409. Good price. :-: |
DC DO Update
I have decided to move dinner forward to 6:00 because, after considering timing and transport matters a bit, I am afraid that waiting until 7:00 might rush our participants who have to catch the 10:00 train back to PHL, which requires that they arrive at Union Station no later than 9:40-45. In addition, that will give everyone a chance to hit a bar together after dinner for some Belgian beer before the PHL-bound Boxers depart.
The DC Ducks tour is out. They won't take a group reservation for fewer than 20 people and won't even let Claudio go to Union Station at 8:00 am with eight tickets to guarantee everyone a spot on the 2:00 tour (all tour participants must be present with the ticket at the time of tour time request). We could all buy tickets and risk that there would be space for eight on the 2:00 tour, but given that this is peak tourist season, I don't feel like dealing with it. The only other short (i.e., non-half day of full day) tour option is the hop on, hop off bus, which costs about $40/ticket, but the ticket is valid for two consecutive days. They do not sell tickets for single-day travel. Unless those who are staying until Sunday afternoon think that they will be able to ride the bus again on Sunday, I don't really think it is worth $40/person to ride around town for two hours. For much less than that, we could just take cabs to the major sites (but we would not be traveling in an awesome double-decker bus). I am happy to lead a micro-tour around the Capital, Mall, and some of the monuments using the Metro and/or cabs, but it will definitely involve a bit of walking. Please let me know what you all think. If we still want to do the bus, we should order tickets forthwith. Following is the tentative itinerary: Late Morning: Those attendees already in DC meet at some point prior to 12:30 pm. 1:00 pm: Train travelers arrive. 1:10 pm: Pre-tour beers at Capital City Brewery located adjacent to Union Station. 2:00 pm-ish: Commence tour, either on the bus or by walking to the Capitol. Proceed from there by tour bus, Metro, or cab. 5:00-5:30-ish: Conclude tour and make way toward restaurant. If we get tired of touring before 5:00, we can stop at a bar before dinner. 6:00-7:30-8:00-ish: Dinner. Post-Dinner: First stop will be RFD, a sister bar to the famous Brickskeller. After that, we can drop by the terrace at the W and then play things by ear. |
