It used to be OK when they still bothered to sell everclear, but now that isn't even available so it makes me question the whole damn thing.

Just finished watching the Parent Trap with BL JR. The remake when Lindsay Lohan could act (and while not Natasha Richardson's best role, made me miss her). BL JR and I are going to have a slumber party now. I'm hoping this actually results in slumber. Good night box!

Just be careful how you tread. You don't want anything to bit you in the ... because you didn't follow some stupid procedure and she keeps the ring.
IMHO you want to let her know that you know the law is on your side and that her disposal/loss of the ring is unlawful. Is she fighting the annulment? Are you on good terms with any of the members of her family so you could pass on "helpful" advice regarding this? |

Same here. I didn't even recall that someone was writing new ones.
You should check out some of the first ones, a lot more attitude and a lot less "yes sir" 1950s BS. |

It's a franchise; somebody's always writing new ones. FW Dixon is a nom de plume for whomever the current author is.
You should check out some of the first ones, a lot more attitude and a lot less "yes sir" 1950s BS. The Hardy Boys have evolved in various ways since their first appearance in 1927. Beginning in 1959, the books were extensively revised, largely to eliminate racist stereotypes. The books were also written in a simpler style in an attempt to compete with television. Some critics argue that in the process the Hardy Boys changed, becoming more respectful of the law and simultaneously more affluent, "agents of the adult ruling class"[1] rather than characters who aided the poor. A new Hardy Boys series, the Hardy Boys Casefiles, was created in the 1980s, and featured murders, violence, and international espionage. The original Hardy Boys Mystery Stories series ended in 2005. A new series, Undercover Brothers, was launched the same year, featuring updated versions of the characters who narrate their adventures in the first person. |

Has she seen the original one with Hayley Mills? My six-year-old liked that one better (though she saw it first).
