I may have to start taking advantage of the coin thing. I've got enough miles so this could be good for Amex MR points. I'm eventually re-doing my living room and they've got some nice 50+ inch LCD TV's and surround-sound systems.

Got some time to build points since I'm just starting the kitchen re-do. Home Depot was here doing measurements and walkthrough earlier this week and Ms. GadFly and I picked out all the cabinets/countertops, etc. The price for the materials was ^ but the labor was a bit .

Time to hit www.consumerreports.org to look at appliances. Probably going to buy from PC Richard...their salesmen seemed to really know their products and weren't trying to push the most expensive things in the showroom.

The one in East Brunswick, NJ seemed ok once we talked to an experienced salesman. When we first walked in, a kid (looked about 20) tried to give us the high-pressure sales pitch so we told him we were just looking. When the older guy approached us and just asked if he could answer any questions, we told him roughly what we were looking for and that we wouldn't be making any decisions without consulting Consumer Reports. He answered our questions, was very straight with us, and we didn't feel pressured at all.

^ In my book!

Good morning box!

Good morning, box.

Dergon_gf heads out to LAX on her first UG using her own miles. Free drinks up front for her. Lots of beers and internet gaming over the weekend for me :)

Mackieman Jul 17, 2009 6:29 am

Excellent. Another day, another rejection notice.

Morning, Box.

Last year was the first year that I made status on EQPs instead of EQMs since I joined OnePass in 1985. This year the DEQM has been really nice. With the MAF origination/termination, I get lots of CoEx flights, and yes, there is 12A! :D^

Good morning, box! Another 12 hour workday at my hometown school district! At least I'm working in a nice cold data center at 68 degrees, while the temperature outside is over 100. :D

When do the CSA A310 flights stop flying? Looks like I suddenly have a lot of freedom to work with.

"lots of freedom"? Dare I ask?

I am still gainfully employed. I have, however, decided to get a divorce. IMO, once a liar/cheater, always a liar/cheater. This go-round was fool me twice, so I'm moving on.
