In other news there's going to be one angry driveway contractor in a couple of hours. Two more of my neigbhbors are having their's redone by the same guy that did mine.

Does anyone else think that the 787s electronic window shades have a high risk of turning :rolleyes:? What happens when my window shade malfunctions and the window is stuck in either a fully transparent or fully opaque state?

Maybe they will have big :rolleyes: stickers to put over the window if the system breaks down.
Doesn't Etihad already use a system like this on their planes, I think the concept is not new, so maybe it won't be as much of a problem.

I don't see how examples #2 and #3 are of a personally attacking nature. The subject of the thread can be lamented without going after the person, IMO.

I agree that I am not the thread police, and I further agree that I have no say in general appropriateness. That's something of a given, IMO.

Where I disagree vehemently is the assertion that I see myself above others...if anything, a large contingent of people on this site take their wallet candy and interpret it as a license to act in a superior manner. Some of them are partisans of one airline more than another, but they exist everywhere. I hang out in The Box in large part so I can enjoy FT and not run into that kind of behavior. I guess I see myself as better than others with an alarming frequency when I am often the first person to welcome a newbie, a practice that I engage in almost universally without sarcasm and with sincerity, and which is a practice that I learned from you, incidentally.

I'm gonna take the rest of the day off (and maybe longer) from FT, because I'm angry to the point that I'll get myself in trouble...and I'm somewhat proud that I've lasted 3+ years and 8,000+ posts without a major discipline incident.

I stared at this post and re-read it many times before posting it. I stand by all of it.

Yes, that's ZA002 - the 2nd flight test aircraft. I believe it is about 2 weeks behind ZA001. I can't wait to see a 787 in CO colors!

Hi all! Just a quick question -- is it really necessary to get to EWR 3 hrs. ahead for a 10pm flight to GRU (BF) -- or can I get there 2 hrs ahead? :confused: Since I will be able to do elite check-in -- it should, theoretically, be pretty efficient, right?!:rolleyes:

It can't be any more bare-bones than other terminals I've been too. And certainly no worse than the temporary facilities at BPT and LCH.

I've never arrived at EWR more than 90 minutes. prior to scheduled departure, international or domestic.

At 8pm, there will be minimal lines for everything. Except Dunkin'.
