Quick question for the box
Hey guys,
Yesterday, everything in trying to get from DFW-IAH-ORD went FUBAR, and after delays that caused me to miss the IAH CX, the nice lady at the DFW PC changed me to a direct AA flight DFW-IAH in F. (Kudos to the bag room, for hand-routing my bag to AA). (AA F on an MD-80 isn't all that. It was my first AA flight ever, and I won't be switching any time soon). Anyway, I am pretty sure that I lose the 2 EQP, but what about miles? Will I get the miles for the AA flight, or will I have to beg for them? My receipt does say INVOL, so I assume that will help my case, if I have to make one? Anyone have any insight into this? Thanks! John |
I ran out of time and couldn't comment yesterday... but I just got my May bill from AT&T ... used my iPhone for a week in Mexico and a week in the UK.
Dang, even using the data component judiciously... YIKES! I hope they fix the international data charges. They bite! |

From what I've seen of the Google phone, it isn't as revolutionary as the iPhone. Will it challenge iPhone? Maybe. iPhone already includes Google maps built-in, and there is an iPhone version of Gmail. With the iPhone SDK, and app store being released this summer, I think it's only a matter of time before iPhone users can access most of Google's software/applications. So will the Google phone be too little too late?
The first generation iPhone was clearly lacking functionality, many of which were framed as "challenges" (and "checked off the list") for iPhone 2.0 and iPhone 3G. So now we still see text cut/paste and carrier portability as the next challenges. The former will hopefully be introduced in a subsequent point release, but the latter might have to wait for the next version of the phone. I think iPhone adoption would explode if carrier portability were here - now. |

All I want in a phone is the ability to put in ANY sim and the phone will work. T-mobile does this, they will unlock the phone and you can use any sim from any carrier you want and my t-mobile sim will work in any unlocked phone I have.
Until I can do that, I am not interested in cingcrapular (I refuse to call it anything else). I have no intention of getting a cingcrapular sized bill when I use my phone in europe for a week. |

I had to call the Customer service line and they took the request a few days later i got an email with an activation code for the unlock. This did not work and the phone was 1 try away from going into lockdown. They told me that if I tried once more and it did not work I would have to send it in to them to get unlocked by the manufacturer. So I never got the phone unlocked. Instead I bought a new windows smart phone when i was in singapore that came unlocked and works better than my old one . Its an O2 branded phone , but i think it was made By HTC . |

Dang, even using the data component judiciously... YIKES! I hope they fix the international data charges. They bite! This is why I love my T-mo Hotspot@Home phone. I just spent a week in the UK, bound my blackberry to a hotspot and turned off the Radio and used it as much as I wanted and didn't have to pay a dime in airtime or data charges. |

http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/po...phone-tips.jsp There was a big deal about this when the iphone was first out, but I think it should be well know now how expensive international data is. |
