WN gets really really testy about eBay in general. Watch how fast some auctions for their NRMR passes (which have somehow gotten out into the public) get pulled.

I wonder if they'll have Biscoff cookies at the CRC in FRA... Mmmmm...

They do not. They do (as CO Fan stated) have cookies, and also some type of small pastry IIRC (like a mini-croisant or something), granola and another type of cereal, cheese, and snack mix. Overall, it is a very nice lounge, but the only views are of the terminal dropoff area, as it does not face the runways. I have some photos from my recent trip that I can post if I have time.

I think CO should offer elites stuck in the Y cabin one free drink per flight. If CO moves to cashless cabins with CC/UPC scanning handhelds, it could achieve this by either (1) printing one bar-coded drink coupon at the kiosk, or (2) scanning the elite's FF Card onboard.

I have been a proponent of this for years and agree that the cashless cabin will make it easy to do so.

UA has a cashless cabin, what do they do about drink coupons ?

Elites "stuck" in Y? I'm going to walk away from that one for my own safety and sanity.

WN's have bar codes, though I don't know if they actually get scanned ever.

WN is generally quite liberal about giving you liquor for any reason - even "just because." I remember one flight where things were going a bit wrong with service (in a comical manner, no one was seriously upset) and the FA started saying "Want a drink? Drinks? Anyone? That's about all I can do.. Broken lav, have a drink - crying baby, have a drink. Drinks? Anyone?"

Just print the coupon on the board pass and the FA can then cross it out or collect the coupon.

Crossing out or collecting the boarding pass doesn't work when you didn't have a paper boarding pass to begin with.

Unless something has changed on WN very recently, they don't have scanners on board the aircraft. My guess is the barcode is there for use at some point in the future when they go cashless.

Collecting the boarding pass on any airline is a subpar idea because the program will want the original if the flight doesn't post...even if it's WN and they miss giving you RR's, they would still want a BP, no?

Yes and no. Many airlines aren't requiring boarding passes for credit now; WN hasn't in years. All you have to do with them is go online and fill out a form. In many cases, WN's gate agents take the full boarding pass when you board the aircraft, after they scan it.

7,405 posts, this one included. 5,006 of them in The Box.

WN talk keeps reminding me that I have that $50 WN gift card from last Christmas. It doesn't expire, but it would be nice to use it at some point.
