Morning, Box.
Happy belated birthday, unkfrank! |
Anyone have a Sprint phone? I am going to try checking in later, by having my BP sent to my phone. How does that work? Does CO send you a picture message with the bar code in it? Or, do they send a txt message with a link? I am wondering if it will work on my Windoze mobile phone.

Agreed, especially for such a short flight. And, yes, it will be my first NK experience.
fozz beat me to the answer, but I already had clicked the multi-quote button. The TATL ones are different. They have fewer seats actually that CO does (by one) on those planes. For their typical domestic birds the lavs at the rear appear smaller and they only have a half galley at 2R.

Wow, that's a bummer. Is it a new FM carrier? There could be a bright side. And it's only a 40 minute flight.
The TATL routes use the old TW planes, i believe there are 12-14 of them in the fleet. I'm not sure how the DL/TW interiors differ though. Shows how much I fly DL. I looked at SeatGuru after posting my question and saw the different configurations. |

It is blusterly in EAR. The flight in was bumpy to put it mildly. Great FA - I'd flown with her before. Great Lakes makes an announcement prior to boarding that you MUST shut off your cell phone and all portable electronic devices before boarding the aircraft. One lady (She wasn't but we'll call her that for now) must not have heard and was using hers on board. FA made the announcement onboard three times. She then went over to the lady and said very sweetly "ma'am I need you to end your call before we can move forward." The lady didn't stop talking and flat out ignored the FA.
FA again very nicely but firmly said "ma'am would you please shut off your phone; we need you off the phone." The woman wrapped up her call and started snapping at the FA "why did you make me get off the phone when the door is still open?" The FA explained it was Great Lakes policy; the woman snapped "I fly every week and I can have my phone on; I know the FAA regulations - is this just a Great Lakes thing? (Uh, yeah, that's what she just said!!!). After a few minutes of the FA being sweet, she finally said to the pax "would you like to speak with the captain about it"? This shut the woman up but she then got in a final "I'll never fly this airline again" - oh, we hope not!!! Then water service came. FA: Would you like an ice water ma'am? Woman barks back "water, no ice" . FA: The water is warm; would you like me to melt the ice so that you can have cold water? Woman to FA "I said no ice"! This woman was mid; the rest of us (which was perhaps seven of us) were in the back - weights and balances you know ;) and we told the FA she was doing great and that it wasn't her. She said the Kearney people were always really nice and the guy behind me said "She's not from Kearney". Maybe she was just angry about going to EAR :D |

I think there must have been some mistake earlier. I received an email from Yapta because I tagged EWR-SEA flights for 11-NOV. The flight was $125 in Q class. I put two on hold using the cash option and now I checked and it's back up to $179 in Q class. I guess I will be making the purchase tonight.

I'm looking forward to revisiting that restaurant we tried out in MEX last year during the Honeymoon. A pair of Negra Modelos and some real Mexican food would be a good way to start off the vacation right.

It will send you a link that you go to in the web browser that shows a 2D barcode. It gets scanned and you go on your way. Phone OS doesn't really matter.

I'm wondering if the Box feels that it is important to have the (Seasonal) designator in a job listing if a company advertises a full-time opening. My interview at a nameless Fortune 200 firm began with the apology for omission of that little tidbit. That brought me to a dimension of  and  that I don't think I even approached the day I got laid off. I notice that FT is not giving me the option of a large middle finger emoticon in place of my usual "Morning, Box"...with that said, Morning, Box. Off to The Mom's office...I need to put on a happy face before it's time for me to go on stage for her tonight. |
