I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American  and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you  that?

No. Not at all. :D

I have an even better command over the script of Top Gun.

Speaking of which, remaining MiGs are buggin' out. I really gotta go to make the game.

Surprisingly no shaking, well no more than normal. She was back to her high energy, rambunctious ways within 24 hours. Now she sits in front of the window all days and barks at anything that moves.

I guess I'm just cheap, but the thought of tipping a valet at a hotel that charges $50/night for parking (cough, W San Francisco, cough) just rubs me the wrong way. If they can't pay a valet a living wage after raping guests on parking costs, that's their problem, not mine.

While I always do it, tipping a valet has always bothered me. Especially at hotels where valet is the only option.

I felt bad for the cab driver that took me to the dublin airport. I had 22 Euro on me and the ride was 21.65.

I always signed up to pick-up valet shifts at the resort I used to work at during big conferences where guys would always try and out-do each other with tips, or compensate for their Accords with a $20.

In other news, now, call me a prude if you want, but I don't think it's good policy for the Navy to hand over a billion-dollar piece of equipment to a man who has "Welcome Aboard" tattooed on his .

$50/night gets my blood pressure to unsafe levels. Even the Fairmont San Francisco on Nob Hill only charges $35/night for guests, IIRC.

I'm not unsympathetic to service-industry workers. Heck, I was a Starbucks Barista during undergrad. I thought the fact we had a tip jar when we charged $4 for a cup of coffee was 'tarded.

I've been there... where you're at the end of an overseas trip and don't want to change any more $$$ into the local currency, or incur an ATM fee at a foreign ATM, and are counting out remaining coins to pay the fare. Embarrassing.
