I had a Maple-Iced Boston-Cream at Tim Horton's last week that was par excellence.

I'm only a fan of their blueberry cake donuts. Not greasy at all.

That and their coffee. Gotta have their coffee.

I must be missing something with regard to the coffee. Seems like McDonalds or BK coffee to me.

I have been there , i was scared to touch stuff and knock everything over

Likewise. She was going absolutely nuts in there, though. It was like me in a liquor store.

I like Boston Cream, but not Maple icing. I really like cruellers, however, as well as blueberry cake donuts.

Random question: does anyone else call Tim Horton's Timmy Ho's?

The DD in Jamesburg, NJ is non-greasy and the stuff is good their. All others I've been to sit in my tummy like a lead balloon.

I'm a huge maple-icing fan. A lot of people don't seem to like it. Timmy Ho's is the best maple-icing I've yet had, IMO. I also had Cider Donuts from the Cold Hollow Cidery in Vermont. Best apple-flavored cake donut ever! I'll have to try Blueberry Cake... that sounds pretty darn good.

Until now, no. :D

First, let me be clear that I despise DD. Their greasy round products stink. A new location of theirs is set to open up near here, though. We were at a stop-light near it a few weeks ago and Xyzzylet Jr. said, "Look, daddy -- Dun-uh-kin Donuts." I didn't quite understand until I looked at the sign. It said, "Dunikn Donuts" It took them about a week or so to put up a properly spelled one.

 I go for the coffee, but stay for the sausage, egg and cheese croissants. I've never been a fan of the donuts.

I'm not a big fan either. The donuts are ok (although I'm not much of a donut eater), but the coffee tastes like regular swill to me, no different than any other fast food coffee.

:eek::eek::eek:

OMG....Tim Horton's.....someone went to Canada :D

Man, I really want some good donuts now, and all we have here are those cr@p winchells and KK's

The best donut shops in the Houston area tend to be locally-owned (almost invariably by Vietnamese families) shops out in the 'Burbs. There are several in my immediate vicinity. Their Apple Fritters and Kolaches are fantastic.

Montreal, Tremblant, and Quebec City. High temperature on New Year's Day was 5. Got my first taste of Below-Zero. :D

A new gourmet cupcake shop just opened around the corner from me. All this talk of donuts makes me want to stop there on the way home.

Also, a new gourmet liquor store with tons of Belgian beers and entire basement full of wine just opened about half a block away.
