Actually, in the photo showing a view of the seats from the side, the seats appear different from the old KL seats.

holy crap! batman look at the upgrade stand-by list

I am on flight 221 today and there are 30 people on the list, as a gold I fall in the 15-18 range.

WTH????? did all of the elites decide to party in the ATL?

ssullivan Mar 20, 2008 3:54 pm

Wow. IAH-ATL is usually a pretty easy EUA (at least for me it is). I got mine for tomorrow's flight 5 days out, as usual.

And the upgrade standby list for your flight is now up to 37!

Interestingly, yesterday MCO saw a 764 twice. I'm not sure what happened, but they grabbed the 764 from GRU and had it do two IAH-MCO runs.

Must be all those bloody spring breakers.

Another one of those questions that can be posed in The Box rather than giving birth to a new thread: I know I've posted regarding my affinity for firearms, and I found a training range I would go to in Farmington, NM. If I wanted to stick with OnePass, the itinerary would be EWR-SLC-DRO, or PHL-IAH-SLC-DRO. Farmington has an airport (FMN), but it's US, UA, or F9 only. I'm pretty much a CO guy. Short version: do firearms interline as baggage? The SLC-DRO leg would be DL express, hence the need for asking.

Anyone been to FNT (Flint, MI)? Looks like a nice "sale" going on to/from Florida, but it seems to require an overnight to get the best fare/routing.

It's one place in Michigan I've not been. All I know about it is that you can get there on a less than 30 minute DC-9 flight from DTW on NW -- and that certain NW elites are well known for their complaining about not getting upgraded on that flight that makes IAH-AUS look like long-haul.

heh I am going to lovely Flint on the 29.00$ fare. IIRC Flint is one of those places where on has to "strap it on" to walk around, so I am debating not leaving the airport.

Luggage screening is done by TSA, not the airlines. Once it goes through security at your airport of origin, no one never sees the inside of it again (unless it gets... umm.. misrouted ;) ). So, technically, there would be no reason for it not to be interlined. That said, do you really want to entrust your $$ toys to the checked luggage roulette?

I don't feel like I have too much of an option. I certainly wouldn't ship them ahead, and I was never the right flavor of DoD (USAF) to be allowed to keep them in-cabin. I thought stuff like bows, guns, ammo, etc. were afforded something of a status in the cargo world? Aren't they labeled "Dangerous" or "Sensitive" or something? One would think such a label would assure competent handling.

Definately NOT much in flint..but only a short car ride to DTW, which, IMO, is worse of a city!

Checking out the MR forum now for the 29 sale!

CO policy regarding interline acceptance of sporting firearms:
1. Prior to acceptance of any firearm or shooting equipment as checked baggage..The interline carrier must be contacted to determine and verify the carriers conditions for acceptance.
2. After verification and in addition to the interline carriers firearm acceptance ploicy.. All Continental procedures for the acceptance of firearms will be observed.

This information is found under GGBAGGUN in the CO computer system.

sfogate, many thanks. Who does the contacting of the interline carrier? I'm assuming me? Or is it the CSR when I call to notify of the firearm's presence? (I believe the CoC says to call ahead.)

You should call the interline carrier just so you know the rules yourself but the agent checking your bag in, is the one that must call to verify the other airline's rules.
