It was. Great use of leftovers from the weekend. I just had mine — made it earlier before Brian was out the door, so I could package one to go for him. I wrapped mine in foil and stuck it in a warm oven while I did some other chores, and just had it with coffee. Yum. We bought a spicy chile lime garlic rub at Whole Foods a while back. Tossing a little of it in a plastic bag with some cooked shrimp and just a tiny bit of olive oil and letting it marinate overnight in the refrigerator results in shrimp that are perfect for these. I then scrambled some eggs with salt and pepper, sauteed the shrimp with some onions just to get them warmed up, and assembled it all in a tortilla with a nice sprinkling of shredded cheedar and Monterrey jack. We had fajitas over the weekend, and shrimp last night, so this used up a lot of the leftovers, and made for a very quick, and tasty, hot breakfast.

I'm so looking forward to having 45K Hyatt points after just 10 stays. :D

So half teh Box is converted to Hyatt as one of their primary programs now? ^

icurhere2 Jun 28, 2010 7:52 am

Wonder if anyone from FT is going to score one of these two trips?

I haven't taken the plunge just yet… I've considered it, but Hyatt is almost impossible for me to really use these days.

Yes. For my :rolleyes:moon I booked using points to make sure I had the room locked up. I've been slowly chipping away at it and getting the miles redeposited as I get the Q3FN's issued.

Sometimes this is a very simple phone call that takes about 2 minutes.

Today it cascaded into drama on the high seas.

Although I'm really not sure what the point is, seeing as I've reached the point that I don't think I'd voluntarily stay at a HHonors property even for free.

Speaking of which, why the  is every :-:wood property I want to stay at sold out lately.

Fixed that for you.

Maybe you're right. I once worked with a little person at a client. She told me she loved to fly because she could sit in any seat and have tons of room, while everyone else suffered. She then looked at me and said "You must be really miserable on planes" and smiled. I told her I usually flew in first class. She quit smiling. So, yeah, maybe she wasn't so sane after all… seemed she might have been using the crappy pitch thing as a form of schadenfreude.

Oh, so you're not really converting the Q3FNs to points. You're exchanging them for the points used for an already-booked award stay. That shouldn't be a big deal at all.

I thought you meant you were taking a Q3FN you weren't going to use before it expires, and having them just change it over to an equivalent value in points.

When the next FFN / NBT / BWB promo comes around, you do know you live in one of the best areas for mattress-running for luxury vacation stays (you moved from the other). I was in hotels in D.C. with some of our very own FT moderators at the beginning of 2010 on ridiculous room rates like $52 a night; the Hyatt Fair Lakes was $47.15 with point bonuses and before diamond amenity.

Speaking of high drama, it's not even 10:00 AM and it's already erupting in full force with a couple of my clients today. I'm going to pretend I didn't just see this string of e-mails and go take a shower instead.

The three digit numeric code for Air Astana is a glaring omission on this list.

And the exit row on the 737s and Airbus's is not bad (which you can grab at check-in). For the 30 minute flight, it's bearable.
