I've had few good experiences with Dell but it's the default provided by my agency.

Wow. So they're not lying when they say the people and cases are real.

A co-worker got solicted to do Judge Marilyn Milian in NYC. He and his wife-to-be got picked up in a limo and driven to the studio. Apparently he lost miserably and was horribly embarrassed so he never told us what day it aired:rolleyes:

never turn down a bump.

I think it's the broad diversity of people we get due to the massive military presence. And even with that presence, the income demographics are quite good.

They are indeed - since the judges aren't eligible to preside over these cases as matters of law (no jurisdiction), the participants on the show drop the court case and sign a binding arbitration agreement. There's apparently a pool of appearance funds for the complainant/defendant which is divided, with the loser of the court case having a smaller share based upon the "judgment".

When I have to be home for a 9:00 AM eastern time conference call on Friday morning, and I'm tired and just want to be done with this week, and I'm already booked on the last flight of the evening to DCA, yeah, I'm turning down the bump.

I've purchased 5 Dells but in the olden days they were much more responsive in customer support. The one I'm using was so cheap I decided to pay for backup and make it disposable if need be.

Large presence of military around a given city can go a few different ways. Friend of mine who was USCG at Little Creek, VA said the Navy presence there was the opposite of the norm. There are/were those of us who would drop a military ID to perhaps get out of a traffic infraction, and professional courtesy would be extended. Apparently around the Little Creek/Norfolk area, the service members were not much for being good community people and pulling an ID to a cop often resulted in the ticket getting written.

Don't forget a pro-se attorney has a fool for a client.

Anthony from Opie and Anthony had a problem with one of his Dells. He called repeatedly about a cooling fan with several unsatisfactory results (wrong address, arrived broken, bad credit card charges, each of these more than once) until he reached the corporate offices and got none other than Michael Dell's secretary. He played the "I'm on the radio" card and had a new fan the next day.

There was recently a business in my town which had a case turn up so badly on one of these shows they permanently closed the day the case aired. Of course, they were crooks (and now I know there are more cases from my town).
